Potter_owlJust over two weeks to go until the children and wonky-eyed drama teachers of the world can rush out and buy a copy of Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince. And Bloomsbury, the book’s publisher, is hyping the book to immense levels.

Bloomsbury is spending more money on advertising Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince than on any other of their books in history.

Bloomsbury will cover 2,000 buses around the country with all kinds
of wizardy crap and the words "All Aboard For Harry". In addition to
this, bookstores are starting to install clocks resembling the
Weasley’s clock that count down the minutes until the book goes on sale.

As you probably already knew, J K Rowling is set to give a special
reading in front of various children at Edinburgh Castle to be
broadcast around the world as the book is released. Whatever next? Maybe they’ll go really over
the top and project a picture of J K Rowling’s all-seeing face onto the
clock at the castle
.

What’s that? They’re already planning to do that? Oh...

The question is - why are they going to all this trouble? Harry
Potter is already an enormity of a brand - only books by Chairman Mao
and Jesus have sold more - so there’s a huge aspect of preaching to the
converted going on. And also, this book is the sixth out of seven. Any
new reader is going to be thrown into an unfamiliar story that’s nearly
finished.

Maybe Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince is really dreadful, and
Bloomsbury is trying to push as many early sales as they can so people
spend their money before they realise how bad the book really is. Who
knows?

There have been a few more rumours about the plot of Harry Potter
And The Half-Blood Prince
, so we’ll try and clear them up. Remember,
the higher the Truth Score, the more likely the rumour is to be true.
Also remember, though, not only do we not know anything about Harry
Potter, we care even less. So we might not the best-informed people on the
subject.

Rumour one - Lily Potter was once a Death Eater. What on earth is a
Death Eater? Is it like the Happy Eater? Lily Potter once worked in a
roadside cafe? What’s going on? Truth Score - 6

Rumour two - Mr Weasley’s car makes a return. A car? In a book? How
ridiculous. What will these crazy rumour-mongers think of next? Truth
Score - 1

Rumour three - If you read the book backwards you’ll come across
various subliminal messages such as "Kill your Parents" and "Give all
your money to J K Rowling"
. That’s a given, isn’t it? Truth Score - 10.

Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince goes on sale on July 16th.

The Half blood Prince.aka Severus Snape is a very devious character you never know which way he will turn.Im glad that J.K.urge to bring some kind of macabre into the story as she writes on.
Let us see if the last book is thorough enough to represnt the nature it is evolvving.I.E. some representation of the real world of black magic.as with Sirius Black.the name fits but will the story. Will the last book
