New York Fashion Week is extremely significant – we don't think we can overstate the importance of a handful of vaguely famous people whooping about blouses as if wearing clothes is a brand-new invention that'll cure cancer.
And Gwen Stefani wants in on the action too, dammit. Not content with experimentally fusing hip-hop with yodel songs from bad musicals to ear-bleeding effect, Gwen Stefani has decided to use New York Fashion Week to debut her L.A.M.B fashion line. And it's been hailed as a success, with everyone from Diddy to a girl from a TV show we've never watched all turning up to clap some of Gwen Stefani's collection – like a skirt, a dress, a sort of T-shirt thing with buttons on it, a pair of red trousers. We could go on. A bikini, another dress, a pair of shorts…
These days you can't even go for a piss without being attacked over the head by some sort of celebrity-designed fashion range, and the trend isn't showing any signs of slowing just yet. Kate Moss has her Topshop collection and Lily Allen has her New Look collection and even Amy Winehouse was going to have a denim line until she spoilt it all by taking loads of drugs and almost dying.
But the undisputed queen of celebrity fashion designers is Gwen Stefani. Even though Gwen Stefani has been furiously busy having a baby and then letting the baby hang out with Angelina Jolie, trying hard to copy Madonna and touring with a man who dry-humps 15-year-olds and bodyslams children, she still has time to design a well-received fashion line named after a baby sheep and debut it at New York Fashion Week in front of a handful of famous people who want to pick up models appreciate the fine craftsmanship and dynamic lines of the fashion industry. The Sun reports:
Gwen Stefani's made sure the unveiling of her new fashion range at New York Fashion week was a family affair… The pop star was cheered on by hubby Gavin Rossdale as she emerged on the catwalk with their trendy one-year-old son Kingston to present the L.A.M.B. clothing collection on Wednesday. Gwen and her stylist Andrea Lieberman wowed fashion insiders on the opening day of the annual event with their mix of retro and modern designs, with a few outfits also showcasing the star's love of costumes. The singer also showed off a very special pair of yellow, green and black platform shoes named 'The Kingston'.
We can only imagine the delight on baby Kingston's face as he discovers that the reason his mother hasn't devoted much time to him lately was because she was drawing a picture of a shoe and naming it after him. Some kids get all the luck.
But don't worry if you missed Gwen Stefani's L.A.M.B collection premiere at New York Fashion Week – you can easily recreate it by dressing your Gwen Stefani doll in miniature versions of clothes your mother wore 40 years ago and then getting a Diddy doll to wildly overreact to them in the hope that a model sees him enthusing and decides to sleep with him.
Not that that exact scenario happened in real life, of course, but it'd stop your doll show being so dull that you tried to kill yourself.

All these terrible pop babes cashing in makes me so cynical ,and it is so disingenuous. They are hopeless at that which for some bizarre reason made them “famous”…they are legion too…take the Joan Rivers double these days known as brave (tm ) Kylie…..who buys all their dreadful crap merchandise…young teenagers..the stuff id over priced and of terrible quality, their perfume smells like air freshner’s…and they are addicted to promoting themselves in every commercial outlet they can find.
People complain about the Government Big Brother dictating our lives yet they happily allow these vacuous boring people to dictate their fashion, make up,cosmetics, diets and on and on and on. Why.?
