He really appears to be a child prodigy. Loaded talent and emotion beyond his years.
He seems to really want the stardom, although he doesn’t know the reality of it all.
Remember, Stevie Wonder started out at age 11, had a hit by the time he was 13, and
survived to age 60 (so far) and is enjoying legendary status.

I don’t think his own compositions hold up to his dynamic performance of “Paparazzi”,
so his handlers better not let him indulge in weaker material, just because he wrote it.

He has great courage, you’ve got to give him credit for that…….

I am a 52 year old musician who knows talent when he sees it and this kid is LOADED with it. I wish him the best of luck on a long career. He’s definately got the ability to have one if he and his parents don’t take things too fast. Greyson…if you read this…I want to wish you the best of luck, stay humble and all of your dreams will come true. You are such an amazing talent…the world needs more of what you have to offer. That comment about Greyson’s being a “once in a generation talent” was BY FAR the only positive thing in the article. And IMHO, that 1 positive comment was far and away destroyed by all the other cycnicism, snarkiness and negativitiy, which made up about 99 % of the article. BOO!

I think you completely missed the point Stuart was trying to make. He did refer to Greyson as a once in a generation talent, and being compared to a young Jeff Buckley is one of the best compliments a young musicians can get. I don’t think he was being jealous, but more of giving a warning that we might be seeing a special talent possibly exploited and wasted right before our very eyes.

Take your time, kid. I know the attention and money will be tempting, but please don’t fall into the trap of having a career where you’ll be washed up by the time you’re 16 (i.e. Britany Spears). You’ve been blessed with a special gift for music. Take care of it, and try to go for longevity instead.
