Michael Jackson once said “People write negatives things, cause they feel that’s what sells. Good news to them, doesn’t sell.” And who are we to disagree with a man who has an army of absolutely insane fans, ready to shout HATERS! at the merest mention of his name.
Anyway, the man with an undoubtedly stellar back-catalogue (from the Jackson 5, right up ’til he stopped working with Quincy Jones) is having his corpse flogged for loose change once again. He’s got a new album coming out and now, a TV show.
Okay, it isn’t his own show, but rather, the coming together of two frighteningly positive beasts – Michael Jackson AND Glee.
Adam Shankman has burped something about a Michael Jackson episode of Glee in the works.
Glee’s executive producers announced at the recent Television Critics Association press tour (our invite was obviously lost in the post again – love you guys! Love your dealers more!) that Shankman will direct an episode of the monstrously successful Fox series.
Writing on his Twitter page (where everyone steals spurious news stories from these days), Ryan Seacrest said: “Just talked to Adam Shankman from SYTYCD and got a pretty heavy hint that he’s directing the MJ episode of Glee!”
Glee creator Ryan Murphy has already confirmed that the second season will include a tribute to Britney Spears.
Seeing as there seems to be a damaged child-star theme, could we see a Bobby Brown episode as well? Or maybe one featuring that fat kid from Grange Hill who was smacked out of his box during a Just Say No visit to the White House?
MAKE IT HAPPEN OR SOMETHING!
Oh, sorry. Nearly forgot – Michael Jackson is a silly dick head and whatever it is that gets MJ fans foaming at the mouth.
