Geri Halliwell – or Ginger Spice or That Woman Who Won't Go Away, as she's more commonly known – is claiming that a golf club worker hit her three month old baby.
While child abuse, alleged or not, is in no way a funny subject, we'd like to point out that Geri Halliwell had maybe better get used to it, since as soon as her daughter starts school she's bound to be the victim of all kinds of horrible abuse. But then again, that's sort of what happens when you give a kid a shit name like Bluebell Madonna, isn't it?
Geri Halliwell has something of a penchant for attention-seeking, whether it's by showing her knickers at the Brits or by doing perhaps the worst known piece of acting in the history of man during her cameo on Sex And The City. This attention seeking even stretches to her new baby, who Geri Halliwell ridiculously decided to name Bluebell Madonna. In the past, Geri Halliwell has terrifyingly said that Bluebell Madonna is:
"like having my own little doll."
But it seems as if other people might be treating Bluebell Madonna as another kind of toy – the kind that you slap about when it doesn't shut up. Geri Halliwell has complained to police that Bluebell Madonna was physically abused, as MSNBC reports:
The singer's complaint was about "an incident concerning her daughter Bluebell whilst in the care of a temporary member of staff," [Geri's assistant] Antony Read said Saturday. Halliwell made the complaint at a London police station Aug. 18, Read said.
While police are thought to be investigating the claim, nobody has been arrested yet and Read is quick to point out that:
"Bluebell is now happy and well, and there are no further concerns for her welfare."
So at least Geri hasn't actually sung to Bluebell Madonna yet, then.
