Since the dawn of time, there have always been rifts between different groups of people.
Do-gooders like Bono want us to simply get along, but no-one will listen. Over the year?s battles between the east and west coast, cowboys & Indians and The Pope v The Gays have grabbed media attention and divided people?s opinions.
One argument we never expected to see was between the spewed-up creatures of Simon Cowell?s pet projects Britain?s Got Talent and X Factor. We thought that all the creations of the show lived in peace and harmony where they constantly lick each other’s bumholes and applauded each other. Guess something went wrong as the gloves are off between Sampson and Quigg.
It seems odd that the pint-sized midget pair of reality show contestants are biting at each other?s necks. Without their tears, exposure on national TV every week and naive girls wasting their pocket money so they could vote for them, they wouldn't be anywhere. George Sampson would probably be breakdancing for loose change outside tube stops in order to buy a tasty snifter of crack, and as for Eoghan Quigg? With a name spelt so oddly, no employer would ever give him a chance.
Out of the two reality show stars, we were introduced to George Sampson first. In the first series of Britain?s Got Bugger All Talent But We?ll Commission A Lengthy Run Of It Anyway, he was rejected at the final hurdle. However, he showed grit and determination by returning last year to take the competition by storm and winning. His talent? Rolling around on the floor like an epilepsy victim! Hey, it doesn't do anything for us, but it did for most of the general public.
In possibly the millionth series of X Factor that was screened in 2008, we were introduced to Eoghan Quigg. That's apparently pronounced Owen Quigg ? aren't the Irish crazy? We?ll admit, he does have a better singing voice than us and doesn't need 15 pints of beer to get up and sing on karaoke. However, there was something utterly fascinating about the Irish scamp. Eoghan literally looked and sounded like a leprechaun.
Sadly, Eoghan couldn't convince the public he had the X Factor. Though he did prove to us he sometimes resembled the look of a foetus when he was upset. This happened quite a lot and we were often treated to a stream of pre-pubescent tears. Like any X Factor competitor who makes it in to the final five, Eoghan got a record deal – which was good for him, but bad for people with actual music taste. However, Eoghan’s debut collided into the charts at number 14 this week, so at least we won’t have to worry about it for long.
But what started this beef between the nation’s favourite Simon Cowell puppets? Did George call Eoghan?s mother a slag? Or did Eoghan piss in George?s orange juice? No, in true schoolboy fashion, it's nothing more than a bickering spat. Supposedly, George is jealous of Eoghan being the new fresh-faced youngster on the scene. We assume he sniggers at his name like us. Anyway, Eoghan said:
?I don’t know what George’s problem is. We met once and we spoke and it was fine. Then he posted loads of rude stuff about me on his website. Clearly it’s jealousy. I mean, he was the only young heartthrob on the scene last year and now I’m here. And let’s be honest, there’s only so much dancing you can do.?
Adding fuel to a fire that presumably had to be started by one of his parents due to his young age; he added that George was a ?jealous flop?. Yikes, we don't want to be there when karma is severed up and Eoghan is on the receiving end of some George Sampson revenge. Perhaps he?ll kick his head in using ninja style death dancing moves.

Acctualy pepole did pick up their phones and spend their hard earned money on Eoghan – cause he acctualy got the most votes overall on the x-factor. I’m sorry to blow to smithereens your ever so insightful conclusion of those leaving comments but I don’t wish to marry George at all.
I find it remarkable and yet highly amusing at the same time that you spent ages telling George’s fans how immature it is to be abusive about how they pronounce Eoghan and the alternative words they use for his name then ended your grandioso point by not calling George George! lol…possibly got a bit of a Jeckyll and Hyde problem going on there have we?!
I enjoyed yet more of a chuckle at the naivety of believing that Eoghan has done it just for “the dream”, the only problem with that theory being that “the dream” with wanting to be a successful singer is to become RICH and famous,
so whilst it’s a lovely little utopian thought you’re having there you are in actual fact completely deluded!
If Eoghan only seeks “the dream” of being a recognised singer then I’m sure there was a nice quaint Irish pub in his home village where he could of had top billing no less on a Saturday night (after the magician and mime artist of course) and lavished merrily til the day he died in the admiration of the local farmers. I think what I’m ultimately trying to say with regards to your “the dream” point is…have a larf love!!!
If I ever so briefly lower myself to make this point, I dont know what Maths they taught you at your school but at mine it clearly taught me that if there are 24 comments in a jar, and 19 are in favor of George Sampson, and 2 are in favor of Eoghan Quigg, and the remaining 3 abstain, then when the train leaves the station at 3pm travelling at 160mph covering the distance of 400 miles with 22 passengers onboard of which 9 bought a latte and packet of cheese and onion crisps with the other 13 opting instead for tea and a chocolate chip muffin then how the hell with those statistics has Eoghan clearly got more fans than George?! Are my calculations fuzzy or am I just better at counting?!
Oh, and whilst we’re on the subject of numbers I think you will find that in any part of the world apart from the fictional la la land belonging to Mr Topsy Turvy 1st place in any contest is higher than 3rd place, and apart from Mr Topsy Turvy himself no one who comes in 1st place in a contest would be jealous of someone who came in 3rd place would they?!
I’ve often heard George saying “God dammit!!… that Eoghan Quiggs so friggin better off than me, I’d of done anything to come in 3rd place…some guys have all the luck!!” What’s George jealous of exactly? Am I missing something?…or maybe not!!
We are also I might add not quaking in our boots that you are going to tell on us and report this to Eoghan, oddly I have not urgently sought underground shelter and am now sitting rocking backwards and forwards with sweat pouring from my brow whilst holding the Bible and praying to God Eoghan doesn’t abusively reply to my comments, oh the terror of it all!!
Also, bearing in mind that George has never appeared in any of the national newspapers name calling Eoghan or essentially been bitching and moaning about him like a big girls blouse and that I’ve yet to see the “actual evidence” of George having ever been rude about him on a website, it’s safe to say that Eoghan has issues with George, and not the other way around.
However, you cant now blame George if his opinion of Eoghan now goes no further than….well isn’t he a tosser!!

And when someone you know is being slated in the worlds media for something they never even did, and as such it’s unfairly giving them a bad reputation to Joe Public, then leaving a supportive comment takes little effort.
Just as an example, if George was your nephew, would it seem unreasonable that you might want to have something to say if the press are having a pop at him for something he isn’t even guilty of doing?! First of all: I love both Eoghan and George
Eoghan has become big headed, there is no dought about that, all the fame went to his head. I think he has a great singing voice and i loved him on the x factor. i really want him to do well but he needs to wise up a bit. people are being horrible about his album but if you were given a record deal you would take it and that’s what he did, he probably didn’t have much say in the production of it. i think the whole thing was rushed and was the wrong decision to do a cover album but it must be really hard for him because he was so popular on the x factor and everyhing has turned around. he is just a normal kid who is thrilled at having a chance of being a pop star and before all the fame he seemed like a lovely guy and he made the northern irish proud, including me :D
George i absolutely love! he was so sweet and modest (and hot :D) on BGT and also an amazing dancer and i was so glad he won. he definately deserved it because he was so determined and i think britain doesn’t have enough young stars, that goes for eoghan too. into the hoods, bbc switch live and t4 on the beach were really good for him but the singing and rapping didn’t do him any favours. i think he became quite big headed too and i miss the old george. i think it was clear that george didn’t like eoghan but he didn’t seem to have a reason so that annoyed me. i love seeing george dancing to songs in the charts and stuff and he should do it more often. a dvd with him dancing to his fave songs would have been awesome. he seems to have disappeared from the limelight and it’s really sad :( i still love him tho!
so basically, i think the’re both talented but they are just immature at the minute. the feud is stupid and is over nothing. they both need to get a grip and do their best at what they’re good at.
<3 them both and hope they continue and don’t disappear!

Go George! In all of this, I don’t see what Eoghan has to be jealous of. The frumpy midget didn’t win, has a bush for a head and has one of the weakest, ear-curling voices I’ve heard (we’re talking Michelle McManus standard here!). The only reason he did so well was because he had Ireland backing him. But I’m pretty sure they’ll give up on him soon too.
