If you’ve been paying attention, you’ll have seen that over the last three weeks, we’ve been profiling each contender for the Eurovision Song Contest 2005. That’s 39 singers singing 39 songs.
Now, if the main event had 39 different countries, it’d go on forever and everyone would feel like slashing their throats by the end of it. That’s why yesterday saw the semi-final round, where everyone had the chance to ditch the worst performers.
If you’re wondering how the United Kingdom did – don’t worry. The semi-final round is only for the countries that don’t really count. All the special ones are put straight through to the final.
So now, hecklerspray and Betfair.com will list the final countries, singers, songs and special betting odds…
But first, let’s pay our respects to our fallen comrades, the
singers that sucked so much ass that they won’t get watched by a
massive audience or slightly put-down by Terry Wogan. The countries that didn’t make it were: Iceland,
Belarus, Estonia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Ireland, Slovenia, Finland,
Austria, Belgium, Monaco, Poland, Portugal, Andorra and Bulgaria.
Better luck next time, losers.
So lets look at the finalists, in the order they will perform tomorrow night.
