It’s May! The Eurovision Song Contest is in May! Eurovision betting odds! May! Yay!
If you’ve been following these Eurovision betting odds from the start then a) you deserve a bloody medal and b) you’ll be aware of our gigantic support of Laka, the Bosnian Eurovision entry. Previously we liked Laka because he’s got a sense performance art cool about him, and also because he dances with chickens and his song sounds fairly similar to the theme tune to the Discovery Channel show How Do They Do It? And now Laka has gone on record in an interview with the following quote:
“After September 11 and Lordi everything is different.”
Oh Laka, we really do love you so very much. Here are the Eurovision betting odds for Montenegro, with help from Paddy Power…
Montenegro (pop. 630,814; a country in southeastern Europe) Stefan Filipoviç, Zauvijek Volim Te
If we were David Hasselhoff, then two things would be true: 1) We probably wouldn’t find that drunk David Hasselhoff video quite so hilarious, and 2) we’d be chasing Stefan Filipoviç with a massive lawsuit. That’s because his Eurovision entry Zauvijek Volim Te is so Hasselhoffesque that it probably breaks several laws. It’s cheesy, chronically oversincere, about 20 years out of date and features a nauseating clapalong breakdown in the middle, just like all David Hasselhoff songs. It’s also a bag of shit, which probably puts the plagiarism beyond doubt. Lyrically, though, Zauvijek Volim Te is another one of those classic creepy stalker songs that Eurovision is so fond of. “I want to kiss you again/ to follow your steps/ I’m wasting time in vain/ because you are, you are my life/ Don’t let me go crazy/ Everything is so sad.” The moral of the song? Never go out with anyone from Montenegro. Current Eurovision betting odds - 150/1
Tomorrow: Netherlands! But if that’s too long to wait - or you feel like making more money than you know what to do with - head right over to the Paddy Power Eurovision betting odds page to see the latest, and best, betting odds.
