Eurovision Betting Odds - Slovenia & Spain

We're steaming to the end of our 2006 Eurovision Song Contest betting odds, and it's been a hell of a journey so far. A frightening journey of mostly very bad music, but a journey's a journey.

Come Saturday, we'll all be glued to our televisions, watching hour after hour of bizarre fashion mistakes, songs about flying and - if Finland gets past the semi-finals - five prosthetic rock overlords making fearsome music that sounds like the end of the world.

Slovenia (pop. 2,011,070; a coastal sub-alpine country in southern central Europe) - Anzej Dezan, Mr Nobody. Lithuania have the right idea - writing a song more or less called Woo-Hoo! Lithuania's Gonna Win Eurovision. And Slovenia, sadly have got it wrong. What kind of message is a miserable song called Mr Nobody giving the voting public? It's poor Anzej we'll feel sorry for; still in secondary school, singing a miserable song to represent his country and cursed with the world's worst bumfluff beard. Spain (pop. 43,197,684; a country located in southwest Europe) Las Ketchup, Bloody Mary. Yes, you read that right - Las Ketchup, the group behind the annoying Ketchup Song from a few years ago, the group that makes The Cheeky Girls sound like Philip Glass - are representing Spain at Eurovision. Their song, Bloody Mary, gets rid of the boingy boingy nonsense you'd expect from Europop cheese in favour of gut-wrenching lyrics about a woman who kills men and goes mad. Or something.
