eurovision betting odds belarusIt's day two of our look at the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest betting odds, where we at least pretend that the voting is based on talent and not long-simmering international tensions.

Yesterday we looked at the Eurovision betting odds of Albania and Andorra. That's not because they are the two worst countries competing in Eurovision 2006, but because they come first alphabetically. The fact that both the songs were unutterably crap was completely coincidental.

Here are the latest Eurovision betting odds for Armenia and Belarus, with help from PaddyPower.com

Armenia (pop. 2,976,372; a landlocked Eurasian country in the Caucasus region) Andre, Without Your Love. 2006 is the Armenian Eurovision debut, and it shows. Why else would it let a fool dressed up like an extra from the Smooth Criminal video like Andre sing for them. Despite his obvious wardrobe problems, Andre is apparently the best singer in Armenia – a plaudit only worth slightly less than being told your hair is OK. Without Your Love, Andre's song, is distinctive only because it's the first of this year's Eurovision songs to use wings as a symbol for love. And because it features the grammatically dubious line "All I can is only living for you." Current Eurovision betting odds – 50/1

Belarus (pop. 10,310,520; a landlocked nation of eastern Europe) Polina Smolova, Mum. The key thing to know about Polina Smolova is that she looks like Nadia from Big Brother, only not quite as convincingly female. Polina's song Mum sounds fantastic, though – it's a bit like a Babelfish Papa Don't Preach about a woman trying to convince her mother that boyfriend is a good man. And how does he do this? By telling her "I feel so safe, 'cause I know he's good/ The guys before him were a kind of junk food." Genius. Current Eurovision betting odds – 100/1

We’ll be listing all the other Eurovision entries in the run-up to the contest. If you can’t wait, check out the Novelties section of Paddypower to see all the latest Eurovision betting odds. Don't forget that Paddypower give you a free £10 bet when you open an account with them. Good luck!
