Kiefer_sutherland_2The
2005 Emmy Awards are due to take place on September 18th.
What better way to celebrate them than by betting on the results?

We’ve already dealt with the comedy categories, so now it’s time to get serious and look at the drama categories, starting with Best Drama Actor.

There are some strange names up for this award. If you’d have told us the names of the 2005 nominees ten years ago, we’d have said "No way man, get hip."

Who are we talking about? Take a look at the latest odds for the 2005 Best Drama Actor Emmy nominees, with a spot of help from Betfair.com

Hank Azaria – Hank plays Dr. Craig ‘Huff’ Huffstodt in Huff. That’s
right – Moe from The Simpsons is up for a dramatic Emmy. Huff is about
a psychiatrist who has a crisis after one of his teenage patients kills
himself. We haven’t seen Huff here, but we hear it’s rather spiffy.
Despite this, Hank’s the least favourite to win the award. Current odds
- 12/1

Kiefer Sutherland – Kiefer plays Jack Bauer in 24. That’s right -
Nelson from Flatliners is up for a dramatic Emmy. The entire world
knows what 24 is about; there’s big trouble, and Jack Bauer has just one day
to solve it all. Kiefer’s always top-notch in 24, but we’re beginning
to wonder whether the show has gone on for too long. If the Emmy people
feel the same, we don’t think Sutherland will walk away with the
trophy. Current odds – 9/2

There’s very little separating the three favourites for this award, so we’ll deal with them tomorrow. In the meantime, head over to the General Special Bets section of Betfair.com to see how the odds for this and all the other Emmy categories are shaping up.
