That old dusty nest that is the Beatles is really getting stirred up. Most recently in the news, the McCartney/Mills divorce has been getting all the uglier as Mills is said to have claimed Paul beat her, and that he may actually be the one who originally bit off her leg.
Elsewhere in the realm of all things Beatle-y, John Lennon's estate, too, is up in legal arms. Yoko Ono's gone and decided to slap some record company with a ten million dollar suit for intentionally defrauding her of mega-bucks, and for not calling on a single Christmas since the 50/50 shot of Lennon answering was reduced to 0/100.
Hang on, we're checking the source on that last bit.
Beatles fans the world over are getting worked into a tizzy. What with that hopping harlot calling Paul McCartney a wife beater, and a probably very real recent scientific test once and for all confirming there is no hope for Ringo's sausage-nose.
And now Yoko Ono is suing EMI and an American subsidiary for $10 million for being underhanded and dastardly – our words, not hers. More specifically, Yoko Ono claims the companies used elusive accounting practises to hide Lennon-related profits from her. Luckily, Ono's guardian fairy showed her in a dream how the EMI accountants intentionally skipped lines 123-B and 492 C-G on form 1172.3. The fairy is willing to testify in court as a material witness should the need arise, but will need all questions directed at her through Yoko. The fairy is also said to be quite fond of blue pleather, and usually carries a big pillow case full of candy.
We make up real sexy stuff sometimes.
Hang on a sec…we're still thinking about her. Yeah, that's the ticket.
OK, the Ono lawsuit was filed on Wednesday in a NYC court, and claims the defending record companies were:
"willfully and knowingly underreporting royalties [and] intentionally and systematically rendering dishonest and grossly deficient account statements."
But the money-grubbing big-business dirt bags aren't taking this lying down. No, a paid slave of EMI's said indirectly about the case:
"We strive for full financial transparency with artists. 99 times out of 100, these things are resolved amicably."
Well as long as it's just the John Lennon collection they're ripping off. If it was any of Yoko Ono's direct material getting shammed we'd totally march on EMI headquarters.
Just in case, our torch is greased.

Yoko Ono Says She Was Cheated Out Of Royalties – MSNBC
[story by Shawn Lindseth]
Ed says
Bit of her leg? That’s pathetic. Mills-McCartney is nothing but a leech. She couldn’t get exactly what she wanted
so she’s going to cause as much sh## as she can and try and take what she can.
