After several months of genetic testing, lie detecting and intense background investigations, an heir to the Bob Barker throne has been found – but he's gotta get spayed or neutered before the deal's set. Drew Carey's got his lawyers looking for a loophole in regards to that last bit.

As you've likely pieced together from the super-vague hints contained obscurely in our headline, Drew Carey is about to get the sweetest gig in daytime TV – he's taking over Judge Judy.

Or The Price is Right. Yeah that's the one, it's definitely the latter. We get confused because tough justice is served almost identically on both shows.

Mariah Carey's little brother Drew just got the biggest deal of his career since he signed on to star in The Mask, The Truman Show and his newer movie about the number 23. He's taking over as host of The Price Is Right. That in mind, it's safe to assume that the Barker Babes are about to be replaced by a dozen face-painted new car-showing Mimis. Ain't nothing wrong with that, know what we're saying fellas?

The official announcement is supposed to be made by Carey himself on a forthcoming The Late Show with David Letterman, but he has previously discussed the possibility:

"They're in talks right now to do it. So you know, I have to see how it goes, but it would be – they actually approached me about it. I didn't really lobby for it. They approached me after they saw the Power Of 10 pilot. So we started talking after that. So nothing has been decided yet. I know there's a lot of rumours going around. I wish I – believe me, I wish there was something I could tell you, but I can't."

Carey's Power Of 10 gig is set to be filled by up and comer Chuck Woolery, who said of this opportunity:

"See ya later government cheese!"
