Dr. Phil’s License-Lack Leads To Lengthy Look-Into

Digg this!

Dr Phil Investigation Spears Without LicenseOur Grandmother lived in the same house, on the same block, in the same neighborhood for over fifty years. The first twenty she absolutely loved – and then the skateboard was invented.

Those young punks started using the handicap-access ramp on her front porch to launch 360 spins, Anti-Caspers & M-80 Kickflips all over the place. And you should have seen how they'd slide down her handrail – magnificent we tell you! Grandma didn't think so though – she hated it. Her answer wasn't to stop the skateboarders themselves, but to patiently stop future generations of them from trampling her petunias.

And that's when she started to render them unconscious until they'd been successfully neutered in her basement.  The ethical problem here was that A) she used crude tools she found in her shed, and B) she didn't have a teen-neutering license. The feds absolutely hate unlicensed teen-neutering, you see. They really do.

Dr. Phil has a similar problem right now – he tried to help Britney Spears iron out all 100 levels of her apparent mental instability, remember that? But he didn't have a state issued license in Psychology. Now he's under investigation for it.

First Brits had a super-meltdown, then she got rushed to the hospital , then Dr. Phil & his cameramen all rode in on very heroic white horses to squish the whole thing into a tidy little TV format.

Then the whole Spears clan flew into a rage on the matter. Then Phil canceled the show. Until now that was all we knew. Our knowledge of the situation is on the cusp of increasing ten fold now, though – because a whole bunch of paperwork with Dr. Phil McGraw's name in the heading is about to be shuffled across countless investigative desks.

It seems a lowly psychologist that has never once been invited to dinner over at Oprah Winfrey's place, because he's just not that cool, has filed a complaint about the matter. Fox News gives us a touch more detail:

"The complaint, reportedly lodged by a psychologist with the California Board of Psychology, alleges that McGraw was illegally practicing without a license when he paid a visit to Spears in the hospital. It also says he violated doctor-patient privilege by discussing Spears with the media."

Yeah, that 'doctor-patient privilege' doesn't mean a thing. We didn't always think so, but then our mom magically found out about our cat-skin fetish.

Real professional Dr. Patel.
