We like music much. We think these music super good. These songs you maybe like. You find tracks, we no have legal authority give them to you.
This week featuring too hot recommends from Treble Charger, Ike and Tina Turner, Erin McKeown, Snow Patrol, Dead Meadow, and Tegan & Sara…
Treble Charger: Brand New Low off Wide Awake Bored
(Every now and again, you find yourself grateful Canada exists. This is one of those moments. Treble Charger is one of the great white north's best kept secrets. This track is particularly catchy, and should have brought them nothing less than buckets of adoration.)
Ike and Tina Turner: Proud Mary off Proud Mary: The Best Of Ike & Tina Turner
(They're not just about spousal abuse anymore. All you have to know about this number is Ike and Tina never do nothin' nice and easy. Except the beginning of this song, but the end is nice and rough - end approximate quote. It's a great tune with a fine side of spoken word.)
Erin McKeown: Born to Hum off Grand
(A light diddy with an upbeat folk tune and a message of one's entire purpose in life being to hum. We tried it this week - all week long. We're no longer welcome in our Mom's basement, and she made us take our comic books with us in a Hefty Cinch Sack. A Hefty Cinch Sack! We don't blame the song.)
Snow Patrol: Crazy In Love
(Yes, it's a cover of that Beyonce song - complete with feminine cooing and a Scottish guy impersonating Jay-Z. We have no idea what album it's on, it's a rare one.)
Dead Meadow: At Her Open Door off Feathers
(This one was brought to our attention by the Party Shuffle feature on out iTunes. It's a fantastic tune that for some reason reminds us of the first time we pinched an old lady's purse, but then gave it back because we wanted to contribute to society, not suck off it. Plus our Scoutmaster made us, then he awarded us something called "tenderfoot.")
Tegan and Sara: Downtown off So Jealous
(These ladies are proof positive that just because you have a weird face piercing, it doesn't mean you're talentless and in Staind. This is a great track. The White Stripes actually covered a song of theirs - Walking With A Ghost. Check it out, check them both out.)
Now listen to these beautiful choices via the magic of Napster
