Downright Dynamite Downloads Of The Week: Eels, Al Green, GusterWe've got a whole bunch of tracks here today, tracks that aliens apparently slipped onto our iPod as they probed us here and there. One would think that kind of association would make us enjoy them less, but such is not so. It does, however, always trick us into thinking we have a real bad itch in unspeakable places.

This week featuring tracks from Eels, Al Green, Sigur Ros, Guster, Mr. Loco and Foo Fighters

Eels: Dead Of Winter off Electro-Shock Blues
(Eels has long been a hecklerspray favourite. This album here - it's their second. We bought it ages ago, and for at least five solid years we thought it had two good songs on it, but the rest weren't worth their weight in horse meat - that's several dollars per pound for those not in the know. Then one morning our alarm clock went off, and like every other morning we instinctively crushed it with the dented head of our robot girlfriend. Just before impact though, we heard the sweet sound of this song and couldn't believe we'd never gotten it before. This album's got more good songs than a waterfall's got horny fish, as many a music-loving grizzly bear will attest.)

Al Green: Ain't No Sunshine off The Immortal Soul Of Al Green
(Sometimes hecklerspray forgets its roots. We forget where it is we've come from. We forget the hard life we used to know hustlin' on the street, trying to wash windshields with a bottle of dirty rainwater and a discarded flannel shirt - just hoping for one sweet sprinkle off the driver's half eaten donut. The incredible sadness of this terrific tune makes us wonder if Al Green didn't go through the exact same thing. Ends up he didn't.)

Sigur Ros: Untitled 4 off ( )
(We have no idea what language this is, but we assume it originated in Narnia amongst the peoples with goat bottoms and flutes. Wherever it's from, this track is a tough one do dislike.)

Guster: Manifest Destiny off Ganging Up On the Sun
(Many of you may not remember, but yesterday we were raving about this album. This particular track's got a delightful piano ditty and starts off with a swear. You don't get more rock n' roll than ditties and swears.)

Mr. Loco: Religious Man off The Nacho Libre Soundtrack
(This one song was a Mexican penned tune found in the film Nacho Libre. We heard it in the movie and had to make it ours. Finally we feel whole.)

Foo Fighters: New Way Home off The Colour And The Shape
(This album came out so long ago that hecklerspray's initial review of it was written on a lamb-skin papyrus as supplied by Henry VIII. That review was actually written on the flip side from the creed that established the Church of England. Now there's a fun little fact for you!)

Now listen to these beautiful choices via the magic of Napster
