And you will know us by the trail of dead dynamite downloadshecklerspray had a first date this week. Everything was going swimmingly until we made an ill-conceived joke about how our honest-to-goodness gym bag in the back seat looked like a rape kit. Next thing we know our date is running to safety behind a police barricade, and someone's blowing up our running shoes with a four-wheeled remote-control robot. Awkward.

It's OK though, we don't need understanding dates, because we still have our mother - and our mother lets us listen to music until like 10:00 PM. That's pretty freaking perfect right now, because so much mind-numbingly awesome new stuff is being birthed all around us.

In fact, all our recommends this week are so new, some of them aren't even available yet. We've got awesome tracks this week from four stellar bands: The Veils, The Killers, The Servant, and …And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead

Buckle up.

The Veils: Jesus For The Jugular off Nux Vomica
(The Veils are definitely the newest to us on the list. We like them for many reasons - just one being they remind us of a mystical place with Care Bears & unicorns, & butterflies too fat to fly. Plus the song title's got that double J thing going on.  What do they call that? Juxtaposition? We're pretty sure it's a juxtaposition.)

The Killers: Uncle Jonny off Sam's Town
(Can any among you claim to not like the Killers? We ask of you! As we're all too aware, their new album just came screaming out, and it's chock full of magic numbers like this one. It's a powerful album too, powerful enough to change lives in life-changing ways. Think about that one.)

The Servant: Sleep Deprivation off How To Destroy A Relationship
(The Servant has long been a Dynamite Downloads favourite. The band themselves don't seem to know this though, as they only released this newest album (thus far) in Italy, Switzerland and France. FRANCE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!! But don't any of you worry, because hecklerspray went a-swashbucklin' for ya. Legal swashbuckling - like those pirates that used to always fight on the side of justice. Rock respects not nationality, and this song is one of the more rocking times you'll have before 2006 gasps its last. Seriously though - France?)

…And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead
: Stand in Silence off So Divided
(OK people, we've recommended some powerful stuff this week, but this is the one we're most eager to wave about. Last year an album toted by a portion of hecklerspray as the year's greatest album was Trail Of Dead's Worlds Apart. This year is shaping up artistically similar. The tune here is track two on their newest album (out very soon), and it is the most astounding piece of rock n' roll to grace our ears in a 'coon's age - and those 'coons can live well into their teens.)

And there you have it - four pieces of music that will both shock the ears and soothe the soul. Neverending coolness is a search bar away.

Now listen to these beautiful choices via the magic of Napster
