Here's a surprise – Dog The Bounty Hunter might be a teensy bit racist, in that he's been taped furiously demanding that his son break up with his black girlfriend because he doesn't much care for 'niggers'.
Frankly we're stunned. Who'd have thought that a man named after an animal, who makes his living by chasing wanted criminals and then attacking them with bear mace, who dresses like he's going to a monster truck convention on the moon 20 years ago, and who constantly refers to people as 'bra' could even be slightly racist. But it turns out that Dog The Bounty Hunter is racist, and as a result his American broadcaster A&E has decided not to make his show any more. Hopefully Dog The Bounty Hunter isn't too sad about this – because we've heard rumours that he cries tears of red-hot magma, and that would never do.
Dog The Bounty Hunter is a force of nature. He dresses like the bouncer of a homoerotic Van Halen-playing nightclub that you'd be far too puny to get into. His voice is so deep that it knocks commemorative plates off mantelpieces 500 miles away whenever he speaks. His hair is so long and lustrous that the navy uses it when it wants to make especially pretty rope. Oh yeah, and Dog The Bounty Hunter is a racist, too.
Of course, when you're in the same line of work as Dog The Bounty Hunter you're bound to get into a bit of trouble here and there, whether you're taking down a gang of crazed meth-heads with bear mace or almost getting thrown into a Mexican jail, you have to be prepared for the worst. Unless you're discussing how much you dislike your son's girlfriend because she's black, in which case it's probably best to not prepare at all and then act all surprised when a tape of you angrily repeating the word 'nigger' hits the internet.
That's what happened to Dog The Bounty Hunter, by the way. A recording of him bawling racial abuse about his son's girlfriend is currently the talk of the internet. Well, the internet and A&E, which has suspended production on Dog The Bounty Hunter, you see, because while an angry man macing crooks in the eye is entertainment, an angry racist doing the same is just despicable. E! Online reports:
"We take this matter very seriously," A&E, which lent its full support to Chapman while kidnapping charges were pending against him in Mexico, said in a statement Wednesday. "Pending an investigation, we have suspended production on the series. When the inquiry is concluded we will take appropriate action."
But what exactly did Dog The Bounty Hunter say to get himself in so much trouble? Well, during a telephone conversation with his son, Dog tried to explain why having a black girlfriend might have the odd negative repercussions. Only he didn't put it like that. What Dog The Bounty Hunter actually said was:
"I'm not taking a chance on some motherfucker. I don't care if she's a Mexican, a whore, whatever. Not because she's black but because we use the word nigger sometimes here. I'm not going to take any chance ever in life of losing everything I've worked for 30 years because some fucking nigger heard us say nigger and turned us into the Enquirer magazine… If Lyssa was dating a nigger we'd all say 'fuck you' and you know that."
Here's the tape of Dog The Bounty Hunter being all racist in full, if that's the kind of thing you want to hear.
But let's credit Dog The Bounty Hunter with some intelligence. Not only in the tape did he helpfully point out that "when we use the word nigger we don't mean you fucking scum nigger without a soul" – a qualifier which, we don't know about you, we're awfully glad for – but he's also apparently got the obligatory Al Sharpton apology out of the way already. So just three more apologies and a spell in some kind of spurious racial rehab facility and it'll all be better.
But in the meantime? Perhaps Dog The Bounty Hunter can put his new-found notoriety to good use by just going after black criminals in the future. He could also let Michael Richards into his crew, because let's not forget he has a similar talent for locating people of colour.

As an African American, I think the irony of this situation is too funny. The DOG is ranting on tape about how he does not want the fact that he and his family uses the “N” word to ruin his career, but he leaves a message that he knows is being recorded and can be leaked to the general public. He’s an idiot!
What’s even more pathetic? They guy is so used to saying ‘Nigger’ around the house, that he does not even think he can refrain from saying it when his son’s girlfriend is around. That is too sad for words. I am a huge fan of his show and watch it every week. As an Fijian women and a huge Dog the Bounty Hunter fan, I am extremely upset and dissappointed with Dog’s choice of words. I was watching Dog from way back in his early days when no one even knew who Dog was. But now everyone knows who he is due to his stupidity. I’m not even African American by any means but I hate hearing the “N” word, whether I hear it in lyrics to music, or if I hear someone else say it, I always correct them or tell them what I think of that word and to NEVER use it around me. I have alot of African American males and females in my family (through marriage) and I couldn’t even image saying the “N” word around them and god help anyone who says the “N” word in their presence.
So I guess it’s safe to say that Dog’s career is ruined and I would hope A&E doesn’t continue airing his show.

In fact I was taken off my grandmother’s insurance because I took 1 credit hour short of being a full-time student and I have had to pay $140 a month just for ONE medication. I got on a new plan but I still have to pay $99 a month for that.

Dog has lost his show…Good enough move on. Finally, I am kind of shocked with how some people think it’s okay to use the “N” word in a nasty manner as well as saying White Trash or Honky!!! Even having been called the “N” word before by a white person. I still do not have it in me to be mad with white people and start calling them White trash and Honky Just let it go and everybody get along….

Thanks Nikkia…and Jus Anutha Nigga…can you please try to sound a little bit more ignorant, I don’t think you’ve embarrassed black people enough, or confirmed white racists stereotypical ideologies about minorities enough. You didn’t just set black people back 100 years with that comment, you set the human race back 10,000 years and have reduced yourself and whatever institution you were educated in (if any) to the status of cavemen.
I hope you HS hacks realise this (following) stuff is pretty close to being illegal in Australia:

I think everyone has got the idea that the USA has plenty of red-neck racists.

An example of whats wrong with this picture:
Several years ago me and a friend were hanging out. A guy we had gone to high school with drove up. This guy is “white”. He asked if either of us wanted to take a ride, you know, hang out. I declined because I thought the guy was a real jerk. My buddy went with him. They lived near each other, and had been in the same grade. My friend was in all honors classes (he is African American) while the other guy was in the standard high school classes.
Anyway, turns out they got stopped by the police. My friend was smacked around, and then charged with being in possesion of a stolen car. The “white guy” who was driving was charged with joy riding and released within hours. After speaking with the prosecuter, and listening to the judge it was clear they were going to put the screws to the African American unless his family could pay heavily for an attorney. It didn’t matter that he didn’t steal the car, or even know the car was stolen.
The whole event made it difficult for my friend to maintain his grades in college and he later dropped out. The “white guy” it turns out is and was a waste of space who should be in jail, but it seems like the system is always available to help reduce any punishment for wrong doing he may deserve.
Wonder why they NEVER show the Dog, and family chasing African American fugatives. Could it be that based on his “private conversation” he is a racist, and his treatment of them is totally contradictory to what has endered him to Americans. Could it be that he is less than fare with African Americans.
Those of you who think his son was in the wrong for showing the world that his dad is a hypocritical Ass are likely racist, and are of the “blame the victim” mentallity. Forgetting that Dog has been married five times, has who knows how many kids.
I say, “Bravo to the son for fighting back against a true American Asshole”.
I would also like to repeat my earlier point that there really is no “white race” there is a human race to be sure, but a “white race”? Would they be the Germans who hated the French, or the British who hated the Scottish. Would they be Jews who often simply appear to be “white”? Maybe they are the Italians, or Russians. Maybe they are only identified by thier actions since the term came into fashion in the 1600′s. Are they the Nazi party that killed by the million. Are they the pioneers that slaughtered indians and “discovered a land were people alreadt lived? Are they the people who are guilty of beating, raping, torturing, enslaving, and destroying the lives of millions of Africans?
Are they the hundreds of brutal sereal killers guilty of destroying families around the world.
I think they are the lost children of some wonderful Irish, German, French, etc.. Families that came to America and were fooled by the wealthy into believing that they were superior to anyone who’s complection was darker. I know the notion that you could be better than others based on your complection is crazy, but…..
Some “white people” believe it.
Peace all, and please wake up before it’s too late. Lets stop corporate welfare. Seems “white people” give each other billions of dollars so the CEO’s and thier families get millions of dollars annually that we the tax payers pay. While our Govt. and media would like you to believe poor Americans are to blame for taking your tax dollars. They would like you to believe that lazy African Americans (who went and got who, to do who’s work?) in New Orleans are stealing so you won’t notice that Billions annually are stolen by “white” corporations in the name of reconstruction in Iraq.
Wake up “white people” you are perpetuating a system that is not to anyones benifit, and the Dog is only a symptom.

The truth is gir, that I really would like to wake the people up who “the movers and shakers, move and shake”. I realize that it may have no effect, but if anyone stopped for a moment to think. Dog, with his TV show is American Culture. Albeit, “pop” culture.
I wanted to point out that claiming to not be racist is easy, but understanding the nature of the problem and it’s long ranging effects on peoples lives is not as simple. It is in fact impossible if you don’t even accept the fact that it exist.

Zora – don’t take it too seriously. Anyone with an ounce of intelligence or common sense knows that there are smart and stupid people in every race. What slang you use, how you look, or what you wear doesn’t always reflect your entire person. Educated people use slang sometimes, etc…
What trips me out is that this is America, the melting pot of society. What other country has the variety and diversity that we do? Yet we (some of us) choose instead of accepting and learning from each other to hate. You’d think by now we’d have squashed this racist crap!
As far as DOG, I was a fan. My heart went out to him when his daughter was killed, I watched his wedding. I feel betrayed. He’s not who he portrays himself to be. I am a white daughter who brought a black man home, married him, and had children with him. That part of his tirade (if not the rest of it) pissed me off.
But DOG has a right to privacy, freedom speech, and his own opinions.
And so do I. This is AMERICA!
