If the director ever stopped him from pulling retarded faces, and doing the whole "yes, no, yess, nooooo, YES! OH I'M GOOD! shit he pulls every other episode, then he'd just stand around reminding folks he wears Converse with a suit, and has young-person hair. I love the show, but he does grate on me sometimes. RTD doesn't help, as his finales are so safe and inconsequential I get diabetes just watching. Yes - David Tennant MUST play the doc in the film. But CZJ? no thanks. He needs to be teamed with someone who can at least hold their own on the acting front and match his charisma on screen. Alex Kinsgston who was in Steven Moffat's excellent 2-parter this series would be my choice! Dr Who on the big screen – what an excellent idea! Yes – David Tennant MUST play the doc in the film.
