Disturbing Friday Fun: Portuguese Ghost Girl

Portuguese Ghost Girl Disturbing Friday FunUrban myths are usually rubbish.

It's always 'and it turned out that the killer was inside the house' or 'and he saw the light, and he saw that it was good' or some such nonsense.

Unlike hecklerspray's Disturbing Friday Fun - because, as regular patrons of this cyber-realm will attest, that's always a winner.

Always. Okay?

For the uninitiated, Disturbing Friday Fun is a weekly feature in which hecklerspray provides a link to a baffling or unsettling corner of the internet, and then takes absolutely no responsibility when you run away to your mummy, crying like a big sissy baby with a nappy full of poo.

This week, we'd like you to meet the Portuguese Ghost Girl.

Apparently, right, there's this urban myth in Portugal about this teenage girl, killed in a car crash in 1983. And about these three kids bumbling around in their car, who accidentally have something of a close encounter with her.

This is a short film based on that idea. It's slow and entirely in a foreign language, but don't let that put you off - hecklerspray reckons the language barrier even adds to the distanced creepiness of the whole thing. You know what it's building up to… but getting there is half the suspenseful fun.

At least… we assume that this is a short film. No-one has actually verified that. Look around and you'll find various chatter insisting that this footage is genuine.

And if that's the case, we really don't want to think about it.

Really.
