David Hasselhoff Denies Wife Abuse Claims

When it was announced that David Hasselhoff and Pamela Bach were splitting up, most people just expected a quick "We still love each other very much," statement and a no-fuss divorce settlement.

How wrong can you get? The Hasselhoff-Bach divorce looks like it could quickly turn into one of the ugliest break-ups we’ve ever seen. There are claims that David Hasselhoff physically abused Pamela Bach - and called her names while he was at it - while Hasselhoff claims that Bach was addicted to all kinds of drugs.

Of course, it’s KITT we feel most sorry for.

Professionally, David Hasselhoff (DVDs) is in good shape. After years of
sending himself up in cameos, a new Knightrider movie is in
pre-production - something that could make Hasselhoff as famous as he
once was. Personally, though, David Hasselhoff is in a pickle. Stating "irreconcilable differences," David Hasselhoff and Pamela Bach filed for divorce in January. And then Bach started claiming that she was a victim of physical abuse. Now the details of the alleged abuse has come out.

To support a restraining order claim against Hasselhoff, court
papers have been released, accusing David Hasselhoff of threatening to
drive his car through her house snatching all of her jewelry in
February; while Bach also claims that in the past, Hasselhoff broke her
nose while calling her a "whore", "cunt", "bitch", "slut" and "drug
addict" in front of their children.

In response, David Hasselhoff - while denying the abuse claims -
says that Pamela Bach had abused prescription and illegal drugs during
the last few years of their marriage. Parties at their house must have
been a riot.

The judge presiding over this mess of a break-up has ordered David
Hasselhoff to stay at least 100m away from Pamela Bach, while ordering
the both of them to submit to a psychiatric child custody evaluation.

Still, as bad as these claims of abuse are, it could have been worse - David Hasselhoff could have played some of his songs to Bach.
