The ‘Spray Q&A: Joy Zipper

In case you didn’t know, we’re quite fond of Joy Zipper here at hecklerspray.

Comprising of dynamic duo Vinny Cafiso and Tabitha Tindale, the Zip (as we hope they will never be called) have been garnering critical acclaim from numerous quarters. Word magazine referred to their work as a "psychedelic delight", while the NME heralded them as the "sugar-rush Pixies".

In other words, they’re something special.

Check out their oeuvre if you don’t believe us – Joy Zipper, 2004 masterwork American Whip and superb brand new release The Heartlight Set.

hecklerspray caught up with Tabitha, who took a moment out from crafting slices of atmospheric pop wonderment to answer a few questions…

Live Birth Promised On Big Brother

Live Birth Promised On Big Brother

Stay calm, U.K viewers. This is the Dutch version of Big Brother we're talking about. We're just going to have to settle for simpleton nightclub dancers and drunken Burberry-rats shoving champagne bottles up their mimsies.

Newly launched TV station Talpa is the force behind this viewer-grabbing plan - shoving a contestant into the confines of the camera-stashed house a mere six weeks before sprog-dropping is set to commence.

Rather unsurprisingly, the plan has been attracting criticism from far and wide. The Christian Democratic Party has raised a big moral eyebrow over the whole thing. Numerous newspapers have been calling for the show to be cancelled. And a quick poll of the hecklerspray office revealed the scheme to be widely considered "the sad, attention-grabbing antics of a deluded, clueless twat."

US Weekend Box Office Chart – Virgin Still On Top

Hear that noise? That's the end of summer.

The end of summer means different things to different people. To some, it means buying pencil cases and new shoes to get ready for another school year; to others it means constantly laying on your back to ease the pain of your inexplicably sunburnt feet. And for Hollywood, it means throwing out the B-team.

The end of summer is usually when Hollywood studios dump all their not-quite-blockbuster leftover movies into cinemas. Movies like The Brothers Grimm and The Cave, both new releases that couldn't topple The 40-Year-Old Virgin from the top of the US weekend box office chart.

Jamie Foxx’s Ghetto Gospel

Jamie Foxx’s Ghetto Gospel

Rapper/actor chap Jamie Foxx has called for peace in our time amongst hardcore mic wrestlers who like to shoot each other.

If you struggle to understand why hip-hop artists get so grumpy with one another all the time we won’t be able to help you much. You never saw Frank Sinatra shooting Dean Martin in the head because he stole a joke. Kids these days are just mad.

Jamie Foxx (DVDs) agrees with us to a certain extent and believes the war on the streets has got to stop. Since marked man Suge Knight took one in the leg on Saturday following the MTV Music Video Awards he might well have a point too.

SLACKERJACK – Watch A Girl Get A Ball Kicked In Her Face

You've Been Framed is hilarious, isn't it? For some reason, watching other people's misfortune always manages to cheer everybody up.

But in You've Been Framed, nobody ever gets properly hurt or completely ashamed. You never see a man fall off a roof and spearing himself on a railing, or a kid getting eaten by an alligator, or an old lady soiling herself at

MTV Music Video Awards – Green Day Win Big

Regular readers will have known that us here at hecklerspray spent the last two weeks listing MTV Music Video Awards Odds. But some things you just can't predict.

Like, for instance, Hurricane Katrina smashing Miami, the MVA host city, into pieces a few days before the ceremony, putting them in jeopardy.

Or fearsome rap boss Suge Knight getting shot at Kanye West's big pre-awards party.

Or, strangest of all, Green Day winning seven awards for their shonky Boulevard Of Broken Dreams video.

Emmys 2005 Betting Odds – Best Comedy Actor (Part One)

***LATEST EMMYS BETTING ODDS! CLICK HERE***

The Emmys are sometimes known as the TV Oscars - win an Emmy and you know that your TV show is a great big success. The 2005 Emmy Awards ceremony will take place on September 18th, and we'll be helping you bet on the right contenders in the run-up.

Of course, we won't be giving you betting odds on all the categories. It's an American awards ceremony, so it must - presumably by law - feature all kinds of awards that nobody gives a flying nun about. So, if you're interested in finding the odds for the Outstanding Hairstyling In A Movie, Miniseries Or Special category, this won't be you.

Instead, we're going to check out the odds for the six main categories: Best Comedy Actor, Best Comedy Actress, Best Comedy Show, Best Drama Actor, Best Drama Actress and Best Drama Show. And we'll start at the very beginning.

So here is part one of our Best Comedy Actor betting odds rundown, from hecklerspray and Betfair.com...

Creased or Folded? hecklerspray Tells You the Way it is

If hecklerspray punched you in the noggin that would be bad (Creased). If we gave you a chill-heat Dorito to make-up that would be good (Folded).

That’s really all you need to know.
