Dannii Minogue: Lesbian Or Shameless Attention-Seeker?

Dannii Minogue has been ‘caught’ on camera having ‘lesbian’ sex at a lap dancing club. She now finds herself in the middle of a scandal - or a publicity stunt, depending on how cynical you’re feeling.
Either way, though, it’s good to see that Dannii has obviously been studying the book of How To Correctly Be The Less Famous Sister Of A Real Pop Star.
The story goes that Dannii Minogue (CDs) - or Minogue the Lesser - was watching a naked lapdancer
at the Puss-In-Boots club and couldn’t stop her Sapphic instincts and
well, if you can’t guess the rest here’s an account from a conveniently
quotable reported witness:
"Dannii was having the time of her life and didn’t care who saw. She
wasn’t in a private booth or the VIP area, she was on the dance floor. I can’t believe how far they went. It was more like a porn film. There
were hands and tongues everywhere-I thought it was going to turn into a
full-on orgy."
All of this may, of course, be some kind of genuinely embarrassing episode, but
these lipstick lesbian shenanigans only work if you can convince any
potential masturbators that the events happened in a spontaneous fit of
passion and weren’t posed for the cameras - and Minogue’s trump card is
that it was filmed on Closed Circuit TV.
If people know they’re being
manipulated the whole thing falls flat. That’s why the world let out a
collective groan at the Madonna-Britney clinch, but Abi Titmuss has
made a career out the fact that ladmag readers know that she really
did, y’know *snigger* enjoy kissing lady-parts. Home video footage is too much of a cliché now, but you can’t doubt grainy CCTV
footage - its reality incarnate, the footage of facts!
It’s also been reported that Dannii is considering legal action against the newspaper that published the story.
There’s another thing- it doesn’t usually get into the papers when
you’re just ‘considering’ legal action.
Ultimately you can understand
why Dannii is so upset at the leaked footage - what is the world coming to
when a celebrity can’t just have lesbian sex in the privacy of her own
public lap dancing club, without it becoming news?
Round of applause to the first ‘how dare she? Her sister’s got cancer!’ comment left.

I think Mr Sharp you need better things to write about other then putting Dannii Minogue Down.
She is a superstar in her own right and has done much charity work to the world at her own will.
Yes she went to a strip club so what.

I think writers today need better things to write about.
First OF ALL I think its silly the fact you writers always have to add Kylie Minogue or the sister of superstar of Kylie.
Get real Dannii Minogue has earned her rightful place in the music industry.
All the time I read papers putting down Dannii Minogue why not write something positive for once.
She goes out of her way to do charity work and never ever gets credit, unlike Kylie who will do one event and its world news.
Also Dannii’s past music has all been top 10 and now has a new great movie and album coming out soon that she is working hard on and the fact she is so dedicated to her fans.
News like this is far better.
As for the strip event its no shame on Dannii it was just a fun night out.
I’m sure you or a friend has done outrages things in the past but you don’t see it on the press.
As well how would you feel always being credited under your sisters or brothers name?

Remarkably this women has actually got fans (see above).
Quite why I can’t imagine why. Perhaps BECAUSE her sister is famous.
But at least she’s done something more appropriate to her talents and in that I’ll concede she has some!.

I have nothing against fun nights out, lesbian behaviour or Ms Minogue herself (although I was admittedly quite snide). It’s cheap publicity and the notion that the only weapon a woman has to attract attention is to pander to male sexual fantasies that I take issue with. Right now, I just happen to believe that this was a stunt. If a press officer is doing their job properly then everything you know about a celebrity, you know because they want you to. Maybe I’ll be proved wrong. If so I’ll post on here that I was wrong…
