It’s time for our second look of the week at the betting odds of the windmilling, bruised arses of the Dancing On Ice contestants. Who will win, who will lose and who will badly injure themselves?
Dancing On Ice is shaping up to be the missing link between Strictly Come Dancing and Celebrity Wrestling. Girls like Dancing On Ice because of the delicate grace and panache of the routines, and boys like Dancing On Ice because a potentially gory blade/finger injury seems just a matter of time away.
Yesterday we looked at the betting odds of half of the Dancing On Ice contestants, and today we’re going to look at the second half - the half that you’ve actually heard of. We spoil you, you know.
So here’s part two of our Dancing On Ice betting odds to win the series, with help from SportingOdds.com…
Kelly Holmes - In these technologically advanced days, it seems a
little old-fashioned to make someone a Dame at all, let alone for being
able to run quite fast. Kelly Holmes is lucky that she hasn’t had her
title stripped from her because, as a skater, she sucks. Her odd little
routine to Hit Me Baby One More Time had the Dancing On Ice judges
scolding her, "Your basic skating is weak," they said. Hey, that’s
"Your basic skating is weak Ma’am," to you! SCORE - 14.5 - Current
Dancing On Ice betting odds - 10/1
David Seaman - We were worried that David Seaman derived all of his
magical powers from his ridiculous facial hair and that, by shaving his
moustache off for Dancing On Ice, he would become strangely mortal once
more. The we realised that he’s been useless since 2002, and relaxed a
bit. And we were right to - after seeing his routine to Wild Thing we
have to admit that as a 42-year-old goalie, Seaman makes a pretty good
ice skater. Even the judges were impressed: "He’s a big man - I’m
amazed he’s doing what he’s doing," one said. SCORE - 16.0 - Current
Dancing On Ice betting odds - 7/1
John Barrowman - We’d always assumed that John Barrowman would be a
little bit smug. How wrong we were - he’s clearly the smuggest man on
the planet. He was a guest on Doctor Who and ended up getting his own
series, and now he’s walking all over Dancing On Ice, too. His routine
to Beethoven was so well received that his ego must be ballooning
dangerously. The judges even told him that "That was stunning." SCORE -
21.0 - Current Dancing On Ice betting odds - 15/8
Andi Peters - Andi Peters doesn’t look like a natural ice skater -
in fact, he looks dangerously uncoordinated in general. And, as such,
he’s the absolute outsider to win Dancing On Ice. His routine was to I
Love to Boogie, and afterwards the judges told him "You turned into a
Tellytubby." And probably not a cool Tellytubby like Dipsy, either.
Come to think of it, we’ve always imagined that Andi had a little of
the Tinky Winkys about him. SCORE - 11.0 - Current Dancing On Ice
betting odds - 40/1
We’ll be back next week with a new set of betting odds for the
Dancing On Ice contestants, but in the meantime, head over to the
Specials section of SportingOdds.com to see the very latest betting
odds. And don’t forget to place a bet or two as well - SportingOdds and
hecklerspray will give you a free bet of up to £25 when you open an
account. Good luck!
