The fresh-faced beauty hailed from a Waspy Connecticut family and studied acting at Wesleyan University before hightailing it to NYC. After paying her dues by doing commercials, theater and soap operas, she landed the lead on China Beach and ultimately garnered two Best Actress Emmys.
What does an award-winning television actress do next? Make the jump to the silver screen, of course! In Exit to Eden, she and Rosie O’Donnell donned BDSM outfits and navigated their way through an incomprehensible diamond smuggling caper. It was a huge flop. Two more clunkers followed — Live Nude Girls and Fly Away Home. Maybe that movie career wasn’t in the cards after all. Although she’s been romantically linked with the likes of Don Henley and Treat Williams, Delany never married.
Who could forgot Dana Delany’s legendary nude scene in Exit to Eden? She climbs out of a pool fully naked showing her crotch while another naked girl helps her into her bath robe. And later on in the movie, her nipples get revealed in a bubble bath and a lucky guy gets to spread butter on her left tit. Seriously, watch the entire movie.
Her other nude scenes pale in comparison. Some flashes of butt in Live Nude Girls and Hand of God and a strangely colored scene in Light Sleeper where you get a tiny glimpse of bush.
In her younger days, she looked like Alyson Hannigan’s sister (same hair color) and she reminds us a little of Anne Hathaway, especially in Exit to Eden. She has a lovely body, much like the equally hot Phoebe Cates!
