Folded:

• Natalie Bassingthwaighte and her Rogue Traders (quite a breath of fresh air. Unless it’s the heat)
• Pashley cycles (it’s not just Corinne Bailey Rae who can ride them. Be different)
• 2008 Dodge Challenger (plenty of time to cancel your holidays/groceries/life)
• Paolo Nutini (dinner party pop. Though the proof is in his longevity)
• The bull run at the Pamplona Festival (hope you survived with no major goring)

Creased:

• Pirates of the Caribbean 2 (crap movie, producers getting sued – not a great week to have an eyepatch)
• The heat (because we’re British and moaning is steadfastly our greatest contribution to the world)
• Top Gear’s poor scheduling (great show, just belongs on an autumn evening)
• Ant and Dec’s Pokerface (launching a high-concept quiz show in the height of summer does not inspire much confidence. Justifiably so)
• Car boot sales (don’t set up a stall in July, people will barter over a 10p leather jacket. No, really they will)
