Celine Dion Hurts Own Ear

The long necked, oval faced Celine Dion ain't doing so well. Sure, by some really low standard her career is probably still alright - that's not what we're talking about.

Celine Dion is sick. And she's dizzy. Plus she just realized her husband looks a little more like a pudgy, balding Phyllis Diller than any man ever should. We doubt you'd fare any better given her circumstances.  Anyway, her health's got her feeling low - it's an ear infection of sorts. 

Celine 'looks a lot like an unsalted stick pretzel' Dion has a rare ear infection. Early reports call it a clear-cut explanation for the greater part of her musical back-catalogue, whereas more accurate reports have it labeled as a disease called labyrinthitis, which lends itself to severe cases of vertigo and nausea. If this sickness ends up having been contagious, we think Celine Dion gave it to us when she was on high radio rotation ten years ago. Seriously, the symptoms were there.Her website said of the malady:

"Celine continues to recover from the virus she contracted last week which spread to her inner ear. Medically known as viral labyrinthitis, the condition causes nausea, dizziness and general weakness. Her doctor has prescribed medication to treat the associated irritations and instructed her to rest for the next five days, so that the virus can run its course."

To both of her hard core French-Canadian fans we say don't worry - latest news has it she feels un-wobbly enough to have already retaken that hallowed Las Vegas stage. To everyone else we say - now that she's mostly better, don't board any supersized cruise ships toted as unsinkable. Especially ones still needing a cruddy theme song. She can destroy those with nothing but throat power and an unequaled level of determination. Seriously - we heard that happened once.
