Famous people want attention. They’re like trolls really. And Nicki Minaj is no different, as anyone who saw her Grammy Awards performance will testify. If you missed it (the video is over the jump), she went a bit Catholic-mental as she got herself exorcised on-stage.
Or, if you’re that way inclined, it was all one gigantic Illuminati ritual, which is clearly a brilliant, brilliant thing to do.
With that, Minaj got the attention she craved and bang-on-cue, here come the Catholic League and they’ve got their robes in a bunch.
See, Nicki performed and floated alongside?dancing choir boys, a worried looking priest and a whole bunch of Godly artifacts while she debuted her new song ‘Roman Holiday’ at the Grammy Awards.
The set didn’t please Bill Donahue, the president of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights.
He said:
“Perhaps the most vulgar part was the sexual statement that showed a scantily clad female dancer stretching backwards while an altar boy knelt between her legs in prayer. Finally, Come All Ye Faithful was sung while a man posing as a bishop walked on stage; Minaj was shown levitating”
Crivens! Can you imagine! The Catholic church… what with their penchant for covering up mass child-abuse, bizarre rituals and ostentatious golden spires… having a pop at someone for being ‘vulgar’!
He continued:
“None of this was by accident, and all of it was approved by the Recording Academy, which puts on the Grammys. Whether Minaj is possessed is surely an open question, but what is not in doubt is the irresponsibility of the Recording Academy. Never would they allow an artist to insult Judaism or Islam”
Boo hoo. Hands up if you think that the Catholic church is big and ugly enough to take this one on the chin. Surely, they should sit quietly, smug in the knowledge that they’re going to heaven while the rest of us heathens are going to rot in the guts of Lucifer?
Either way, while Revelations is a decent and weird bit of the Bible to read, it is far easier to watch Nicki Minaj floating in the air while hooded men sing ‘Come All Ye Faithful’ with an 808 drum-kick.
In the interest of balance, we’ve written about Christian pop music in the past, so here is a link to the best (ahem, ‘most embarrassing’) Christian music videos article we wrote last Easter.

Saw her performance and have to say, not only was it offensive, it was horrible. She looked stiff, the props and dancers were unintentionally funny, what kind of a voice does she have, I couldn’t hear anything except a jumbled mess. It was the Grammy’s version of that tour dr force movie ‘The Room’.
Her desperation to be noticed was hardly cutting edge, celbs and the media have been dehumanizing Christians, especially Catholics for years.
Their beliefs, humanity and traditions just aren’t as sacred as other groups/faiths. We get it.

She is a talentless and pathetic excuse for entertainment, she is very fake, annoying and looks retarded in her videos, her voice is horrid, we need to get rid of her, she just seems to be like an infectious disease, her and that shitty Young Money crew need to vanish for the sake of our children and music.
This Grammy awards thing was so embarrassing, try hard and pathetic that you can only laugh at how stupid she really is.
