For years, Busta Rhymes was the wacky, superfast rapper who shouted "Flipmode!" a lot. Now Busta Rhymes is the uncooperative witness to a murder, and someone who punches fans, reportedly.
Because Busta Rhymes and his bodyguard are being sued by a man who apparently just wanted an autograph from the rapper, but got punched in the face a lot as a result. Maybe it’s all just a big misunderstanding – after all, "I’m a big fan, could you sign this?" does sound a little like "Hey you! Yeah you, you stupid haired tit. That song you did with Janet Jackson was a bag of cocks, pussybreath."
Although it isn’t superficially apparent, Busta Rhymes (DVDs) and Joe Pesci
seem to have a lot in common. In the movies, Joe Pesci always seems to
be involved in gun crime – and Busta Rhymes was apparently a witness
the the fatal shooting of one of his security guards last month. And in
real life, it was alleged that Pesci punched an autograph hunter in the
face – something that Busta Rhymes has reportedly done, too. And then
there are the bad novelty singles they’ve both released, but that’s not
really relevant.
But while Joe Pesci escaped the autograph incident scott free,
Busta Rhymes hasn’t been so lucky. He’s being sued by Melvin Smith, the man
he allegedly attacked outside a deli in New York on September 6 last
year.
According to court papers, Smith claims that Busta Rhymes and his
bodyguard Troy Green "maliciously assaulted, beat, pushed and shoved
him," after he approached the star for an autograph. Apparently, Rhymes
and Green gave Smith a cut under his right eye that required four
stitches and stopped him working for a while. Following the incident, Green was charged with third-degree
assault, third-degree attempted assault and second-degree harassment
while Rhymes wasn’t charged.
That’s not stopping Melvin Smith from suing the both of them,
however. He’s after unspecified damages from the pair. Smith’s lawyer,
Bruce Regenstreich, told the Associated Press:
“He was asking for an
autograph. That’s all he was doing. He’s a fan. He wasn’t being a wise
guy… He got punched two or three times.”
As well as being sued,
Busta Rhymes is also wanted for questioning by the NYPD following the
shooting of his bodyguard at a video shoot last month.

Hello Busta how are you? I am a rapper from Albania, you are my idol. You have inspired me to become what i am today. Wanted to just say since i first heard you, i started to rap. You fracinated me with your great music! I have a big problem, i am a rapper, but i cant grow anymore where I am. I am stuck in this country with no money just music. If I would have the chance to make it to America I know I would have a better life and would be able to grow. This song that you have written called “Holla” the first time I heard this song I was touched deeply. Everything that you have said in this song is the story for my life. This is the best song in the the world! I have also wrote a song on the same beet, u ispire me to keep writing! But in this place I can not go further! Everytime that I think I cant go further it makes me hurt so much! If you would help me it would be the best thing that has ever happened to me in my life, it would be worth it. This is my dream and I do not let my dreams fail. Everynight I listen to your songs, my favorite being “Holla”. One night I saw you in my dreams, everything that you sing in this song is my life story. You have been like a father to me, teaching me to rap and hearing your music makes me always want to move further. If there is anything at all that you could do for me I would be the happiest man on the world. I come from a poor family and even the everyday bread and water is hard to come by. I have five other brother and one sister, I am the oldest from all. My mother is sadly..very sick and it hurts me that i can not do anything for her, that is another reason I want to make it as a rapper. To make some money to help my family, well this is my life and it would be a great deal of happiness when we could recieve a little help. It would help us so much if you would please please send us little money or a visa so i can work for money and send it home to my family.I would love to send you the song that I have writin, from the beet of your song “Holla” then you would feel how I feel. How can I send it to you?
With all the respect in the world! Your friend Smok Jok

Hey you from Albania. You use to be a communist country. What happened to your ideals, Leninsm, Marxism? Now you’re letting trash like this Busta Rhymes dictate what you want to do? This guy punched a man who wanted an autograph for no reason, what the hell is that? How is that someone to look up?
