Just last week the world was applauding the honesty of Lindsay Lohan for admitting to drugs and bulimia problems in a Vanity Fair interview. Well, maybe not 'applauding' – 'unsurprised head nodding' maybe.
However, it turns out that Lindsay Lohan wasn't being honest at all. She's claiming the things she said were "misused and misconstructed," by Vanity Fair. And also, Lindsay says that she's never had bulimia either. We can feel a fight coming on…
A while ago, Lindsay Lohan (CDs/DVDs) stopped being in films about crazy cars
with minds of their own for a few a few minutes to give a candid,
tell-all interview about drugs and bulimia to Vanity Fair
magazine, which was published just last week. In it, Lindsay revealed
the moment when she realised that she might have an eating disorder:
"I was making myself sick… They [Saturday Night Live crew members] said, `You need to take care of yourself. We care about you
too much, and we've seen too many people do this, and you're talented,'
and I just started bawling. I knew I had a problem and I
couldn't admit it. I saw that `SNL' after I did it. My arms were disgusting. I had no arms."
But,
now that the magazine has hit the shelves, Lindsay has decided that she
didn't really say any of that stuff about bulimia. In a statement
released to Teen People, Lohan says:
"The words that I gave to the writer for Vanity Fair
were misused andmisconstuedmisconstructed, and I'm appalled with the way it was
done. Aside from [the writer's] lies and changing of my words, I am
blessed to have this job and wonderful family that I do."
So
who was right and who was wrong? The Vanity Fair article referred to
Lohan suffering "bulimic episodes," but Lohan's publicist denies that
Lindsay has ever had bulimia. However, Vanity Fair is standing right
behind the writer of the article:
"Evgenia Peretz is one of our most reliable reporters. Every word Lindsay Lohan told her is on tape. Vanity Fair stands by the story."
Then
there's the the rumour that Lohan's publicist had tried to get quotes
about Lohan's alleged drug-use removed from the article prior to
publication. In the article, Lindsay Lohan claims that she dabbled in
drugs "a little," and said:
"I don't want people to think that I've done… you know what I mean?"
So
is Lindsay Lohan really a drug-hoovering bulimic or America's
squeaky-clean starlet of choice? Like we care – we just want Lindsay Lohan to make more of those hilarious Herbie films!

s spreaders
matt says
You do realize that “Misconstrued” is the word you have written in the quote and is the word that Lindsey actually used. This is indeed a real word and is correctly used. The author has to be doing more drugs than Ms. Lohan if that slid by.
