Bruce Willis Hollywood Star Walk Of Fame MoviesIf you were made to name three Hollywood film stars, chances are you'd name Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Willis, if only because you live in the 1980s and you eat in overrated tourist restaurants too much.

Seriously though, Bruce Willis is a big Hollywood star, right? Bruce Willis has been in giant blockbuster movies and intelligent arthouse films. Bruce Willis has been married to other big Hollywood stars. Bruce Willis has even found the time to make an appalling vanity album - something which only the Hollywood elite can do. So why, then, has Bruce Willis only just been given a star on the Hollywood walk of fame?

Back in the 1980s, Bruce Willis was one of the world's biggest stars. Bruce Willis had conquered television with Moonlighting, conquered action movies with Die Hard and conquered doing the voice of John Travolta's infant offspring with Look Who's Talking. Since then, though, the career of Bruce Willis has had its high points and low points. For every Pulp Fiction there's been a Colour Of Night, for every Sin City there's been a The Whole Ten Yards, for every lawsuit against the paparazzi there's been an asking strangers for sex. And yet it's only now that Bruce Willis has been given a Hollywood star, as BBC News reports:

Actor Bruce Willis, best known for his roles in the Die Hard film series and thriller The Sixth Sense, has received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. "I used to come down here and look at these stars and I could never quite figure out what you were supposed to do to get one," said the 51-year-old star. "Time has passed and now here I am doing this," said Willis, adding "And I'm still excited to be an actor." Willis was joined by his mother, children and ex-wife Demi Moore. Moore was accompanied by her new husband, actor Ashton Kutcher.

As sterling a job as Bruce Willis did to hide any lingering resentment that he was further down the list of People Who Deserve Hollywood Stars than broken-up girlband Destiny's Child, fictional bear Winnie The Pooh and Ryan Arsing Seacrest, we can't help wondering why Bruce Willis has only got a Hollywood star now? Was it Bruce's turn as a funny animated raccoon in Over The Hedge that won the Hollywood star giver-outers over, or Bruce's role as Justin Timberlake's Dad in Alpha Dog?

We think we have an idea why it's only now that Bruce Willis has been given a Hollywood star. It's a deeply complicated scientific theory, but the jist of it is that if Bruce Willis doesn't get a Hollywood star before the cack-sounding Live Free Or Die Hard is released, he'd have never, ever got one afterwards.
