It's week three of our look at the nominees in the British Soap Awards 2006. We've got through the sexy soap men and sexy soap women, if that's not a complete contradiction of terms.

And now it's time to start looking at the shortlisted actors and actresses in line for the British Soap Awards Villain Of The Year prize. Who's the nastiest, most evil character in all of soapland? Here's a clue - it won't be Emily Bishop from Corrie, even though we've heard rumours that she's got a sideline crushing gerbils under her high heeled shoes for cash.

Warren Brown - Warren Brown plays Andy Holt in Hollyoaks. Or rather he played Andy Holt in Hollyoaks, before he died horribly. The character, not the actor, that is. We're assuming that Warren Brown is being nominated for Villain Of The Year because he was an 'evil drug rapist', although it's equally feasible that his nasty hair lead to the nomination. Warren Brown is also a former two-time World Thai Boxing champion, but even Jack Osbourne can manage to do Thai Boxing, so it's not too big a deal. Louis Tamone - Louis Tamone plays Sam Owen in Hollyoaks. We've been reading up on Louis Tamone and Sam Owen, and the character doesn't seem to be that much of a villain, really. He supported his brother during a testicular cancer operation, and he has a conscience that usually keeps him out of trouble. Chris Fountain - Chris Fountain plays Justin Burton in Hollyoaks. Now, Chris Fountain is a pure-bred, 100% villain. We know this because we heard him maul all kinds of songs on Just The Two Of Us with the mannish one from S Club 7 and - worse - sing at members of the food service industries at a roadside service station. Like we said, a big old villain. But this is about Justin Burton, not Chris Fountain, and Justin Burton is a pot-smoking teacher-shagger.
