It is entirely possible that the sign of a good movie isn't in
the award nominations or ticket sales, but in the amount of times you
get sued for filming someone's wang-chung in a public bathroom.
And if that's the case, then Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for
Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, may well be the best film of all
time. Now, truth be told, Borat's been sued for the movie a ton of times since
it's two month-ago release, but to our knowledge the only time it's been
for filming a man taking a pisser is this time.
Oh, and that guy is mad too! Hence the lawsuit.
Tom Green went around filming hapless people in
funny situations – but did he ever get sued by them? Well we don't
know, and we're too lazy to look it up. Ashton Koochie-pop (sp?)
used to film people for a prank reality show – but did he ever get sued? Well
we don't know because we're lazy, remember?
Sacha Baron Cohen<>,
on the other hand, has been sued for his cinematic goofing around a whole
bunch of times. He's been sued by countries
and frat boys in lawsuit numbers quickly approaching tens of dozens.
Actually, lets turn that 'dozens' a little more
singular. But now you can tack another suit onto his already hefty
lump sum. Cohen pretended to be a bathroom attendant for the film,
the scene didn't made it into the movie, but the bathroom goer
is pissed™ anyway. Upset enough to hire an attorney, and upset
enough sue Cohen for buckets of cash. The man's lawyer says of his
client's Borat encounter:
"He is embarrassed and humiliated and leaves the restaurant."
Also, even though the scene didn't make the final cut, it has been seen on the
Internet. Of this, the lawyer said:
"He has been contacted by numerous people who have recognised him."
So will this lawsuit fly? The frat boys' didn't. A judge is said to
have dismissed their move to block the DVDs release outright. One thing
though, you gotta give Cohen credit for being dedicated to his work.
He's been punched in the face
for it, he's been banned from the white house for it, why he's even been
electronically deported from Kazakhstan for it. That last one, that's got
to be the most painful. Imagine knowing you'd never smell another
Kazakhi digital one or zero. No more beta codes with a silly accent,
and no more html with farm poop on it's shoes.
We know, we know, the horror…

I have to put in my two cents first. You are a disgrace to the media for not even realizing the whole story about why these few individuals are sueing Borat. In Russia, when the had filmed some footage from of his movie this guy not only lied, but made a small country look even worse. Of course they got pissed and you would have too. In fact their is a documentary on channel four why don’t you go watch it before you open your big fat mouth and start ragging on a country because they do not have internet and satellite. The people that are sueing Borat this time around(i don’t know about the first times with the college frat boys), are trying to do some justice to their village. The movie wasn’t even funny and was redicilious, selfish and disgusting. Maybe you and Borat can be friends huh?
