Bill Cosby’s Dog Now Actually More Famous Than Bill Cosby

Digg this!

Bill Cosby Dog Westminster Kennel Club show Harry terrier Dandie DinmontAside from producing Fat Albert films and settling out of court against women who claimed he drugged and sexually abused them, Bill Cosby hasn't done much lately – but it doesn't matter because his part-owned terrier Harry gets all the fame now.

Even though dog shows are typically home to nutters who try to live their lives vicariously through animals that can lick their own genitalia but can't do simple maths or distinguish between colours, the Westminster Kennel Club dog show in New York this year attracted a proper celebrity – Bill Cosby. Well, OK, not actually Bill Cosby – he stayed at home – but Hobergays "Harry" Fineus Fogg, a Dandie Dinmont terrier part-owned by Bill Cosby turned up instead and won the Best Terrier prize. It's thought that Harry is now going to follow Bill Cosby into the comedy album game and will soon produce work like Bill Cosby's Dog Sings Hooray For The Salvation Army Band! and Bill Cosby's Dog Talks To Kids About Drugs.

Celebrities love dogs almost as much as they love guns and whoring themselves out for pennies. Afghan-haired warbler Joss Stone loves dogs so much that she was once named the best celebrity dog owner in the world – a plaudit that left useless dog owner Britney Spears looking on with nothing but bitter envy. While it's true that all celebrities love dogs – with the possible exception of that Survivor guy that shot a puppy with a bow and arrow – none love their dogs as much as Bill Cosby. Bill Cosby's dog is pimped-out.

Although you may not think that he's done a lot since the end of The Cosby Show – apart from paying off women who claim he sexually abused them, but who hasn't done that, right? – Bill Cosby has spent the last six years raising his part-owned Dandie Dinmont terrier Hobergays "Harry" Fineus Fogg into the most physically perfect specimen of a quite nice terrier you'll ever see. And recently Bill Cosby was vindicated – Harry won the Best Terrier crown at the prestigious and, yes, ever so slightly creepy Westminster Kennel Club dog show in New York, as CBS reports:

Co-owned by Bill Cosby, a 6-year-old Dandie Dinmont named Harry won the always tough terrier group at the Westminster Kennel Club dog show Monday night… Harry entered the No. 1 dog show in America as the country's top dog. But favorites often fall at this event, perhaps the reason the comedian stayed away. "Bill thinks he has bad luck here in New York. But I want to change that," said Bill McFadden, Harry's handler. Cosby originally was going to miss the show. After the win, however, plans may have changed. "I just called him. Can you imagine anyone being more excited than him?" his 40-year-old daughter said.

Sadly, though, true Westminster Kennel Club dog show glory eluded Bill Cosby's dog this year. Best Terrier is one thing, but the actual top Westminster Bestest Doggy Good Doggy Good Doggy prize ended up going to James The Spaniel instead last night. But Bill Cosby shouldn't feel downhearted by Harry's Westminster dog show loss – we hear that winners of these things always end up drowning in sex, booze and drugs anyway.
