Big Brother Odds Update - Eviction Betting Back On

Yesterday, Big Brother confused the whole world with it’s latest eviction ruse.

It told Anthony, Craig and Kemal that they would face eviction. But this was a lie. In fact, all the other housemates - Derek, Eugene, Science, Makosi, Orlaith and Vanessa - face eviction instead.

On Friday, the two housemates with the most votes will be read out. And then the other housemates must choose who goes.

This turn of events even confused Betfair, who suspended eviction betting overnight. But now it’s back on!

Now there are two betting markets. One called 7th Eviction and one called 15 July Eviction.

- 7th Eviction bets will be void on Friday if it is left to the housemates to decide an evictee. It is very likely that this market will be void.

- 15 July Eviction bets will stand irrespective of how the evictee is decided. This is the market to go for, folks.

Now that’s settled, here are the hecklerspray and Betfair.com 15 July Eviction betting odds…

Eugene - Inexplicably popular with the public. Very unlikely to receive enough votes to put him in danger. Current odds - 22/1

Derek - Similar circumstances to Eugene. Despite not being
well liked in the house, the public aren’t likely to put him in danger.
However, if he does get a lot of votes - will he volunteer to evict
himself? After all, he keeps saying he wants to go. Current odds - 18/1

Science - If the housemates would choose anyone to go, it
would be Science. But he’s already proved popular with the public, so
he should be safe. Current odds - 29/2

Orlaith - Not terribly popular with the public, and not
terribly popular with the housemates either. If she is in the top two,
will the fact that she’s the new girl affect her chances of survival? Current odds - 5/1

Makosi - Maybe this is the time for the public to have their
say about never-up-for-eviction Makosi. There’s a very strong chance
that she’ll get a large number of public votes, but will the housemates
decide to keep the Queen Bee in? Current odds - 16/7

Vanessa - Vanessa is terrifically unpopular with the public,
and she hasn’t contributed enough to the house for the housemates to
keep her in, either. Favourite to go on Friday. Current odds - 11/8
