"This is Big Brother. The housemates facing eviction this week are Anthony, Craig and Kemal." At least, that’s what Big Brother said.
On Sunday night, Big Brother told the housemates that this week’s nominations were voluntary. In the end, only Anthony, Craig and Kemal went to nominate. And now they’re facing eviction?
Well, no. When Big Brother told the housemates that the nominations were voluntary, they were lying. And since nominations are always compulsory, those that didn’t nominate are automatically up for eviction.
So when Big Brother said that Anthony, Craig and Kemal were facing eviction, they were lying again. In truth, the housemates that face eviction are Makosi, Eugene, Derek, Science, Orlaith and Vanessa.
But that’s not all. On Friday, Davina will call the names of the two housemates with the most votes. Then the housemates themselves have to decide who goes.
Got that? Now the long and convoluted rules are out of the way, here are the hecklerspray and Betfair.com eviction odds for the most confusing Big Brother eviction ever.
Before we begin, we should tell you that because it’s all got so bloody confusing, Betfair have suspended the
eviction betting market for the time being. These were the most recent
odds we could get to you. As soon as the market is reactivated, we’ll let you
know.
Eugene - For some reason, Eugene has longer eviction odds than
Craig, who is definitely safe this week. But we’re not so sure why. If he makes it
into the two for the housemates to choose from, chances are he’ll go.
He is the new boy, after all. Current odds - 25/1
Derek - Outside the house, Derek inspires so much devotion that a
maniac hired a plane to drag Derek propaganda around London. Inside the
house, he’s the subject of a lot of bitching. If it was left to the
public, he’d be safe. But this week, the public only have a partial
say. Current odds - 8/1
Makosi - Makosi’s fate, more than anyone else’s, is up in the air this week.
So far, she’s been free from nominations. This might be the chance for
the public to try and vote her out. If she gets into the top two, it’s
likely that the housemates will protect her. But who knows? Current
odds - 5/1
Science - Science has escaped eviction once, but he’s riled the
housemates so much over the last few weeks that if they have the choice to evict
him or somebody else, they’d probably pick on him. However, it’s our
guess that the public will vote for other housemates first. Current
odds - 4/1
Orlaith - Orlaith has a good chance of being evicted this week.
She’s traded her personality for the two slabs of silicone pushed under
her skin. She’s likely to receive a lot of votes this week, and as a
newcomer, she’ll be less popular with the housemates. Current odds - 16/5
Vanessa - Now she’s finally able to face eviction, Vanessa is
the favourite to get the most votes from a public desperate to see the
back of her. But will the housemates decide she’s worth keeping or not?
It all depends who she’s up against. Current odds - Evens
Will the betting odds stay this way? It’s an especially tough week to bet on an eviction - you have to make two judgements. First - who will the public choose, and second - who will the housemates choose. You have more time until Betfair reactivates the market, so now’s the perfect chance to bet on one of the other six Big Brother markets at Betfair.com.
