Big Brother 6 starts tonight on Channel 4, and we’re still conducting a countdown until the moment the housemates step inside the Big Brother house. We’re betting that this season will be the most popular ever - so far we’ve learnt that there’s beer on tap, heat-seeking cameras and a Channel 4-controlled mole on the inside.

But that’s simply not enough information. What Big Brother news have we found in the last few hours?

Naughty Step - Anyone who saw the TV show Supernanny will know what a Naughty Step is. It’s what the fearsome bondage nanny woman made bad kids stand on. And there’s apparently going to be one in the new series of Big Brother.
Plus, housemate hints have been made by the producers. There are two
gay housemates, two bisexual housemates, a windsurfer and someone with
a ‘high profile’ job. We’re hoping it’s Alan Sugar. Big Brother boss Philip Edgar Jones says "We’re very excited about the housemates we’ve got this year and we think it will work very well". But he was hardly going say "Oh no! We’ve really ballsed it up this time!", was he?

Brian Is Your Favourite Old Housemate - Over the last two nights, Channel 4 have been counting down the top 20 Big Brother housemates of all time! Or the last five years, at least. And the winner was Brian Dowling, the Irish winner of series two. He seemed very pleased about it, although he probably wouldn’t fare so well in a ‘Top 20 presenters of SM:TV Live’ list.

The Sun’s Favourite Pictures Of Big Brother Tits - Following yesterday’s gruesome picture of Jade Goody splashing about in the sea with her ladybumps slapping about all over the place, The Sun has tried to cram in as many naughty Big Brother
pictures as they can into a slideshow. Except there hasn’t really been
that much nudity in the programme, so really it’s a slideshow of
smiling Big Brother winners intercut with ghastly pictures of knockers.

Big Brother Rules

That’s just about all we firmly know about anything. The picture
will get much clearer at 9pm tonight, when the housemates meet for the
first time. There’s a rumour that one of them is a witch, you know.
