Whichever way you look at it, Big Brother will be losing a cast-iron idiot tonight. Which is vaguely exciting, but not as exciting as the brand-new Kit Kat-eating golden ticket winner becoming a fully-fledged Big Brother housemate tonight. That's going to be insanely exciting – fingers crossed for a confused old lady, we say.

Nikki – Nikki's face, after Big Brother announced her name for nomination earlier in the week, was a treat. We've never seen anyone try and cover up a look of frantic worry with a look of cackhanded nonchalance with such a lack of finesse. Incredibly, the fantastic Big Brother temp task has made Nikki even more staggeringly hateful. Having to sit at a desk and do nothing all day has turned her into a monster; Nikki has yelled at Glyn for making toast that tasted "like a bumhole," and sat at her desk puffing and whining and twisting uncomfortably like a kid waiting for the dentist. Seriously, she's doing our head in – plus the second Nikki gets evicted from Big Brother, they'll show that clip where she shouts "SPECIAL!" again and again and – let's face it – that was a peak. Sam – On the other hand, having a steady job seems to have made Sam a bit more bearable. He seems to have thrown all his focus into being a Big Brother security guard, and watching him and Lea sitting at their desks at 3am on Big Brother live is like watching a monged-out insomniac version of 1991 Cannon And Ball sitcom Plaza Patrol. In a perfect world, Sam and Lea would be forced to stay awake forever, sitting at their desks making weirder and weirder vaguely hallucinogenic observations that are simulcast across every TV set in the country. And if that's not enough, the sight of Sam being overwhelmingly shunned by all the Big Brother housemates must have tugged at enough heartstrings for some people to vote for her, right?
