The one thing that's characterised this season of Big Brother – apart from some spirited early racism – has been the sheer number of fights over food; it seemed as if the Big Brother housemates would do anything to secure themselves some grub.

Ziggy – As much as we can't stand Chanelle, we will admit that her presence in the Big Brother house has stopped Ziggy from uncomfortably licking and pawing at himself, which we pretty much expect is how he spends the bulk of his days as a civilian. But, hey, let's not suggests that Ziggy is an entirely worthless Big Brother housemate – not only did he pull the single most envious face we've ever seen between the moment that Gerry walked into the Big Brother house and the single most relieved face the moment that Ziggy worked out that Gerry was too gay to be a threat, but also he's got the potential to give us entertainment by the bucketful as he slowly realises that he hitched himself to Chanelle before he realised what a scary bloody nutter she is. Three months of trying to watch an oily tosser free himself from the claws of a deranged lunatic with an unnatural Victoria Beckham obsession sounds just perfect to us. Gerry – See? This is what Seany should have been like – instead of barging onto Big Brother blabbering about erections like some kind of bumming-fixated maniac, he should have played the cute gay man card like Gerry. Gerry, for those who don't know, is a clean-living, over-educated Greek who wears knee-high boots quite often. Although Gerry does like having sex with other men, he makes sure he compulsively logs all the details of the act each time he's finished, which sort of makes him half Brian Dowling and half Bridget Jones – and what woman wouldn't like that combination? Apart from these preposterous affectations, Gerry seems to be a little bit bland, which makes these short Big Brother betting odds slightly perplexing. Current Big Brother betting odds – 15/2

Tracey – This time a week ago Tracey was in the middle of a funk that left her quiet and detached, but that all changed after her birthday – once Big Brother let Tracey into the diary room for a one-woman rave, Tracey dropped her defences enough to be everyone's friend again. Tracey even managed to stop adding the 'age' suffix to words unnecessarily to let Charley apply make-up to her face temporarily, thereby showing the world that she scrubs up well enough to sort of look like the singer out of Ladyfuzz a bit. We're still not sure that Tracey has it in her to win Big Brother, though – it can only be a matter of time before she looks at all the idiots around her and gets thrown out of Big Brother for murdering a couple of them.
