Big Brother Betting Odds: Billi Gone, Laura To Win
Then buzz it up
July 2nd, 2007 at 10:30 by Stuart Heritage
Well there's a surprise - on Friday Billi became the latest housemate to get evicted from the Big Brother house, possibly because he's a bizarrely sneaky little git with a haircut that couldn't be stupider if it was made out of dancing bananas.
Oh OK, it wasn't a surprise at all - by the end of last week you could have approached the oldest, most out-of-touch reclusive nun and she'd have launched into a 20-minute diatribe about what a massive dickwad Billi was. But this is the start of a brand-new Big Brother week, so in a few more days another of the Big Brother housemates will become public enemy number one and life will go on as normal. One thing is for sure, though - whoever gets evicted from the Big Brother house next week won't have a haircut that's as horrific as Billi's, and for that he should be heartily congratulated. Or beaten up a little bit.
So who's going to win Big Brother? Here's part one of this week's Big Brother betting odds to win - for Laura, Nicky, Charley and Jonathan - with help from Paddy Power…
Laura - We were wrong. We were all wrong. Contrary to everyone's initial beliefs, Laura isn't going to win Big Brother. In fact, Laura is now the housemate least likely to win Big Brother according to these Big Brother betting odds. Since the Big Brother house contains walking horrorshows like Charley and Ziggy, that must mean people dislike Laura to the point of violence. And we're not sure why that is - both Seany and Billi have expressed their wishes for Laura to win Big Brother, so she can't be all that bad. We suppose that Laura can be a bit annoying. And she's surprisingly bitchy about everyone. And she eats too much. And her voice is annoying. And… oh, OK, we can totally understand why Laura isn't going to win Big Brother. Current Big Brother betting odds - 33/1
Nicky - There was a while when we thought we quite liked Nicky, you know. Although she annoyed all the Big Brother housemates to death by fretting about food in the first fortnight, we could understand that she was basically doing it for the good of the group and that she was a decent, if slightly whiny Big Brother housemate. Then Liam walked into the Big Brother house and Nicky's stalky tendencies started to come to the fore. Now every waking moment of Nicky's day is spent trailing Liam like some sort of dull Geordie-fixated Barry Bulsara. It's not pleasant to watch, and we're starting to suspect that Nicky only pretends to hate men because if she opened her feelings she'd quite easily become the sort of girl who'd hack a boy to death in his sleep while screaming "Why don't you love me?" Again. Current Big Brother betting odds - 33/1
Charley - The most shocking thing to happen on Friday's Big Brother wasn't Billi's eviction, or the fact that the world's most nondescript man was presenting Big Brother's Big Mouth, but that some of the Big Brother eviction audience took to shouting "Keep Charley in!". "Get Charley out!" we can easily get our heads around - Charley is an unrelentingly annoying brutish motormouth with an impossibly high opinion of herself, so obviously people should try to get Charley out. But keep Charley in? What's that all about? Is it because we're starting to see how Charley's mind works, and that all of her Big Brother arguments are just malice-free ways to pass the time? Maybe. Is it because we're starting to see that a Charley-free Big Brother would be one of the dullest in history? Possibly. Is it because people have realised that keeping Charlie in the Big Brother house is much better than letting her freely roam the streets again? Yes, that's probably it. Current Big Brother betting odds - 33/1
Jonathan - In a way, leaving the Big Brother house of your own accord is a lot like biting down on a cyanide tablet rather than being torn to pieces by angry dogs. You get to leave quietly and with the dignity that a post-eviction Davina interview doesn't really afford you. Last week, Jonathan had the chance to leave the Big Brother house, and he didn't take it. By dithering around like such an unforgivable twit, Jonathan has just set himself up for accusations of attention-seeking, which won't go down well with the Big Brother viewers. But the reason why Jonathan chose not to quit Big Brother - that he was brilliant at everything, more or less - was so infuriating that Jonathan doesn't deserve to be evicted from the Big Brother house the normal way any more - he deserves to be evicted from a cannon through 600 sheets of glass into a skip filled with dirty syringes. Current Big Brother betting odds - 33/1
