Big brother Betting Odds Amanda Charley Carole GerryBig Brother, as we all know, is a television show – but the latest Big Brother shopping task was to make a Big Brother television show within the Big Brother television show, which is like all dead postmodern and stuff isn't it.

In reality, though, the BBTV task was just an excuse for the Big Brother housemates to receive their obligatory messages from home. You know the deal by now – someone's mother says they love Housemate X and Housemate X starts to cry – but since this year's messages from home came during a television news task, we got to see the Big Brother housemates crying in funny wigs. And, deep down, isn't that what we wanted from Big Brother all along?

Here's part two of this week's Big Brother betting odds to win – for Charley, Carole, Gerry and Amanda – with Big Brother betting odds coming from Paddy Power

Charley – After Charley's Fake Week Big Brother eviction, Charley promised the nation that she'd turn over a new leaf. And, let's be fair, that's what Charley has done. Admittedly it's a leaf from the Being Even More Gratingly Attention Seeking And Furious Than Ever tree, but she never made any specifications. Last week Charley reduced Brian to tears with an alarming piece of bullying, had screaming matches with Liam and Gerry and continued to brag about all the love she received after she was fake evicted from the Big Brother house. But now everything's starting to fall apart for Charley – several housemates heard "Get Charley Out" chants from over the Big Brother fence and, now they smell blood, they'll all be eager to nominate Charley for Big Brother eviction. To counter this, Charley spent most of the weekend crying, either because she felt bad about being such a cow or because she wanted to avoid getting nominated again. Or because she's realised that she'll never be able to walk down another street without being pelted with rotten fruit. Who can really say for sure? Current Big Brother betting odds – 25/1

Carole – When the majority of housemates leave the Big Brother house, the best they can expect to achieve is a poorly ghostwritten autobiography, a wildly unsuccessful single and a TV series that nobody watches. But not Carole. Carole's post-Big Brother career is already set out ahead of her and, while it might not bring her the riches of Jade Goody or the late-night quiz-show fame of Brian Dowling, at least Carole can take refuge in the fact that she'll be the most successful children's face painter in town. She'd better be the most successful children's face painter in town, anyway, or else she'll start going topless for Nuts magazine, and nobody really wants that. Why are we banging on about all this? Because Carole has been more nondescript than ever in the Big Brother house lately, and discussing the way that Carole always grumbles about the Big Brother alarm every morning would have done our heads in, that's why. Current Big Brother betting odds – 25/1

Gerry – It takes a lot to be even more insufferable than Charley in the Big Brother house, but Gerry – God love him – has got it pegged. By endlessly whining on about himself, punching girls and then refusing to apologise and talking in Greek to his mother on a pretend telephone, Gerry is starting to shine as the most childishly attention-seeking Big Brother housemate this year. That's a big deal considering that two of the other housemates literally entered the Big Brother house dressed in pink and licking oversized lollipops. However, the amount of nominations that Gerry receives is growing by the week, so it's becoming ever-clearer to us that Gerry just isn't going to win Big Brother. But, if by some obscene fluke, he does win Big Brother we're going to organise a mission to kidnap that fucking toy monkey he always carries around with him, for nothing more than a cruel giggle. Who's in? Current Big Brother betting odds – 16/1

Amanda – Amanda made a fatal mistake last week on Big Brother – she turned Brian's romantic advances down. Who knows why Amanda chose to do this – it may have been down to Brian's stunted social skills, the way he doesn't know what an armadillo is, or the fact that he's the only man to make Shaddup You Face even less listenable than it already was – but the simple fact of the matter is that Brian is the favourite to win Big Brother and by aligning herself with him, Amanda could have boosted her own hopes of winning the show, too. Obviously we're pretty thankful that Brian and Amanda didn't get in on – we're 98% sure that their version of Ziggy and Chanelle's shower scene would have been made of nothing more than a nightmarish mixture of confused screaming and the word 'pink' – but when Amanda is eventually evicted from the Big Brother house, she'll wish she got on the Brian bus and no mistake. Current Big Brother betting odds – 12/1
