This week: Aliens/UFOs
So everyone knows about the supposed Roswell, New Mexico UFO crash, and most people have heard that some little grey aliens were found at the crash site. One offshoot of the story that many folks haven't heard is that one of the big black-eyed beings survived. This creature is said to have been treated well enough to have developed an affinity for his captors.
According to one version of the story, the alien was allowed to contact his home several years later – and with a good report for its American captors. This eventually lead to an 'exchange program' with the aliens in which 12 Americans went to the far-off ET planet, and one alien stayed here. There the American explorers lived happily for 13 years before most of them returned to Earth.
And the planet they visited – apparently we call it Serpo.
Zeta Reticuli is a star system 39 light years away from Earth. Far as that may seem, in the southern hemisphere we're told one can see it with the naked eye. This star system is perhaps best known as being the alleged home of the Roswell-crash aliens. According to Wikipedia:
"The Zeta Reticuli system has gained some notoriety in ufology: some ufologists allege that Zeta Reticuli is home to an alien civilisation they refer to as the Greys. This is based on the alleged 1961 abduction of Betty and Barney Hill. In 1964, under hypnosis, Betty Hill drew a map she claimed she was shown during the abduction, showing the aliens' home star, the Sun, and 14 other stars. UFO researcher Marjorie Fish constructed a 3-dimensional map of nearby sun-like stars and claimed a good match from the perspective of Zeta Reticuli."
So in 1961 Betty and Barney Hill claim to have been abducted by UFOs from Zeta Reticuli. Rewind a few years before that and you'll find the Roswell crash, where the alien pilots were also said to be from that star system – more specifically they were from the planet Serpo. As we've already stated, one of the ETs that survived the crash took a shine to its human saviours/captors, and initiated an exchange-student type operation with his home planet. Coast to Coast AM sheds a bit more light on things:
"Serpo is an Earth-sized planet with a population of around 650,000 "ebens" (our name for the ETs). An eben who allegedly survived the Roswell crash was said to have used a communication device to set up the exchange. Of the 12 who went on the exchange, eight returned (though all have since died), two died on Serpo, and two remained there."
This exchange program is said to be extremely top secret. All of the astronauts who returned from the trip have died from over-exposure to Serpo's two suns. Despite the super confidentiality and the lack of any surviving actual off-world visitors, information on the project seems pretty abundant. Of course such info-leaks always come from anonymous sources – like this one found on UFO.Whipnet.org:
"First let me introduce myself. I am a retired employee of the U.S. Government. I won't go into any great details about my past, but I was involved in a special program… We carefully selected 12 military personnel; ten men and two women. They were trained, vetted and carefully removed from the military system. The 12 were skilled in various specialities… the aliens landed and the 12 Americans left. One entity was left on Earth. The original plan was for our 12 people to stay 10 years and then return to Earth.
"But something went wrong. The 12 remained until 1978, when they were returned to the same location in Nevada. Seven men and one woman returned. Two died on the alien's home planet. Four others decided to remain, according to the returnees. Of the eight that returned, all have died. The last survivor died in 2002."
Project Serpo documents apparently started to leak to the public in 2005. Bill Ryan was the man used by anonymous sources for passing the program information on to the general public, but in March of 2007 he announced he'd be moving away from that project as new information wasn't coming forward.
The interplanetary people exchange is pretty far fetched – no doubt about that. As far as we can tell the whole story has only anonymous sources to substantiate it. There's no paper trail, no alleged alien technologies gleaned from the other planet – just faceless emails from an invisible ex-fed.
But it's all fascinating just the same.

So, of the 12 that went, we have accounted for 14. Not really helping your credibility there, Mr. Anonymous Retired Government Counting Specialist.

Dear Shawn,
As you can see by my blog I am a supporter of the UFO reality. But I would like to point out the many instances of disinformation which has pervaded the UFO community. The only credence I really give to Roswell are the witnesses. The MOGUL theory is dead for good. We now have twelve death bed confessions of Military Officers who guarded the “egg shaped ship” who saw and smelled the bodies “small like children with big heads” and who flew the bodies out.. Army solders who “police” up the material. They kept their promised word of silence till they were about to go and confess it to their families.
So for me it is perfectly understandable that this disinformation is always released periodically around Roswell.
It easy to say well “if this information went public we people would be OK with it.
But that is just not the truth. The week after a true disclosure went public everything including cattle mutilations by aliens with their blood drained would no longer be a laughable topic. In fact it would have to be seriously considered. Including every well documented alien abduction. People would become scared very scared and unlike the idea that we belief America can always use our nukes – we would have to consider that maybe we couldn’t ever do that.
