I think it was slightly smaller in length. The crocodile he saw could have survived the changes of earth occouring from 65 million years ago up to the present day.It is very unlikley, but possible. The only problem is that the animal you saw could only ave grown 1.8 ft in length a year, making it longer than its own age is.But maby some changes in the earths atmosphere may have reduced its growth.I think you saw an ancient reptile said to grow 37-40 ft long at its adult age called sarcosuchus A.K.A. supercroc and if it was a female it is possible there is more than one in that area.
Just hope that im wrong..............

So what you're saying is 'before getting naked in front of my wife, I should scare the shit out of her first! I think this is a common case of "eye witness" 50 foot crock that is likely an 18' croc. Brings to mind the Hogzilla claims that proved to be grossly exagerated when he was dug up and measured.

The largest accurately measured Nile crocodile on record was just under 7 metres long. So it sounds like the size of this one is being *slightly* exaggerated.
