How’s about something a bit different for today’s SLACKERJACK?

So, you’ll need to actually download something (a fair bit, actually), install it and spend more than four minutes playing it, but… well… it’s Command and Conquer, for free, so shut up.

The original from the multi-million selling series, released about a billion years ago and home to some wonderful video of hammy acting (hence the large file size), Command and Conquer essentially made real-time strategy games what they are today.

It wasn’t the first and it isn’t the best, but it’s damn good fun and how many times does EA give away…

We’re still waiting for Hollywood to come up with an original idea.

But living in the land of banality, we are forced to put up with the endless production line of sequels and remakes being churned out and violently forced down our throats.

But lest we forget, there is another market that involves little in the way of creativity: that of the ‘True Story’.

So what is this next true life tale of heroics, adventure, overcoming the odds and inspiring generations to better themselves that the gibbons in Hollywood Towers have lined up?

There are times when change is inevitable.

When the forces of the universe become one, the tides of the cosmos ripple in a different direction and the winds of change flow through the vestibules of our lives.
