We know plenty of celebrity twits – but how about celebrity Twitterers?

The blue bird of Twitter has been soaring recently, attracting some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry to share their thoughts with the internet community. It’s not hard to understand why it’s such a big hit among the inhabitants of celeb-land – after all, it means they get a chance to talk about their favourite topic – themselves.

For those of you who have never heard of Twitter (where the hell have you been?), it’s basically the latest social messaging fad.

There is nothing worse than being sober in a room full of drunk people.

OK, so there are a few things worse – like cancer, famine and finding out your dad wants to be a woman. Anyway, the points is, drunk people in real life are soooooo annoying. Almost as annoying as people who put to many ‘o’s in ’so’ just to emphasise the point they are making.

But they are never that annoying when you are drunk. For some reason, you are immune to the annoying stuff they blather on about. See kids, drinking is good for you.

It’s hard to believe now – but there was a time before Twitter.

Our lives were somehow complete without sharing exactly what we are doing, saying and eating every waking hour with the whole of the internet – or at least the people who can be bothered to ‘follow’ us.

Of course, some of you are still unsure whether it actually lives up to the hype. Well of course not. In our bitter experience, nothing is ever as good as people say it is. We even left the cinema disappointed by The Dark Knight. But then, we are hard people to please.

There’s no doubt boxing is a tough sport. There’s the months of gruelling exercise in the build-up to a big fight. Then there’s getting into the ring. Then there’s getting your head pummelled for several rounds by your opponent.

Then, of course, there’s getting back out of the ring.

Wait a minute. Since when was getting in and out of the ring that tough? Well, put it this way, it wasn’t until this clown showed up. If Frank Bruno and Mike Tyson can work it out, this guy must have the IQ of a misinformed centipede. The most astonishing thing is the only injury he gets is when he falls out of the ring.

The 1990s certainly has a lot to answer for.

Any decade responsible for The Spice Girls, Ally McBeal, New Labour and the return of Manchester United needs to take a long, hard look at itself. But the nineties was also a force of much good. It brought us TV shows such as South Park, The Simpsons, Baywatch, The X-Files and Seinfeld.

OK, so technically Seinfeld and The Simpsons began just before 1990, but this no time to get bogged down in technicalities. We are only dealing with sweeping generalisations today.

We know it can hard, but whatever you do – don’t fall asleep at the Shea Stadium.

Why? Because it does not take too long for the rest of the bored New York Mets fans to turn their attentions on you. Especially if there is nothing on the field to distract them. That is certainly the case for this drunken Mets fan, who found the action between his favourite team and the Philadelphia Phillies a little too much. And as you can see – it turns into YouTube gold. Is he dead?

There was a time when you only had to mention the words ‘Sam Raimi’ and ‘horror movie’ to get Hecklerspray wetting its pants in anticipation.

But after seeing the trailer for the Evil Dead director’s new film Drag Me To Hell, we are holding off on the incontinence nappies for the time being.

The idea of it is pretty good. Basically, main character Alison Lohman, desperate to impress her banker bosses, is cursed by some ugly woman with a funny eye after refusing to grant her a mortgage extension.

It means that some demon has been unleashed to drag her back to hell.

All good so far. But something just doesn’t see right. The effects look pants, while the demon itself looks about as scary as a squirrel with a bad temper.

Also, where is Bruce Campbell? The jury is out, Raimi.
