The story of Anna Nicole Smith's death is enough to turn anyone to drugs – trust us, what we'd do for a Smith-style methadone fridge all of our own – and by 'anyone' we means 'specifically one judge who was in the Anna Nicole Smith body-battle'.
Judge Lawrence Korda – for he is the judge we were referring to – knows this only too well, and now he's in a lot of trouble of his own. Possibly because he was still recovering from the media onslaught that comes when a tubby pornstar dies and nobody knows where to bury her – or possibly not – Judge Lawrence Korda apparently decided that he'd spend some of Sunday sitting in a park smoking some drugs. A park full of training policemen. You've already worked out what happened next, haven't you.
Now, be honest. When you read the headline of this article you immediately thought of Judge Larry Seidlin – the weeping Anna Nicole Smith boo hoo judge – didn't you? And you probably thought "Hey, that's why Seidlin was such a barmy whackjob all through that courtcase – because he was stuffed up to the wazoo with drugs!" didn't you? No? Just us?
But Judge Lawrence Korda isn't Judge Larry Seidlin, although he did have a big part to play in the Anna Nicole body-battle. The whole fight over Anna Nicole Smith's corpse began in his courthouse, and Korda was later the man who decided that someone in the Bahamas should pick who Anna Nicole Smith's babydaddy should be. So now we know who Judge Lawrence Korda is, let's find out what Judge Lawrence Korda did, courtesy of Newsday:
Lawrence Korda was smoking marijuana while sitting under a tree Sunday, police said. Three officers who were training there saw Korda and field-tested the cigarette, said Capt. Tony Rode, a police spokesman. The judge was not arrested. He was given a misdemeanor citation to appear in court." Judge Korda was not given special treatment because of his status as a circuit court judge," Rode said. "He was provided with a notice to appear. That's exactly what 99 percent of other offenders would have been given for this type of offense."
These drugs have got to everyone involved with Anna Nicole Smith, haven't they? First Anna Nicole Smith's son dies from drugs, then drugs might still be a cause of Anna Nicole Smith's death, then it's implied that Howard K Stern was possibly Anna Nicole Smith's enabler in court, and now Judge Lawrence Korda is caught smoking drugs in a park. Where will the madness end? Where? Where?
Here? Oh.
