Alec Baldwin Cheesed Off About Nazi Arnold Schwarzenegger

Arnold Schwarzenegger is not a Nazi. If Arnold Schwarzenegger was a Nazi things might have ended differently, like Churchill getting a giant steaming pipe chucked through his chest and Roosevelt being frozen in an elaborate cold-suit.

But, as we've stressed, Arnold Schwarzenegger isn't a Nazi, so none of that happened. Despite all this, the whole Arnold Schwarzenegger Nazi thing has caused Alec Baldwin to throw a giant hissy fit because he did a voiceover for an Arnold Schwarzenegger documentary which turned out to be full of scenes of Nazi rallies. Now Alec Baldwin wants his voice removed from the documentary. Yes, we know what you're thinking - maybe we can drop some Nazi rally footage into Elizabethtown so that Alec Baldwin can ask for his horrible performance to be removed from that too.

Alec Baldwin is going through something of a career upswing at the moment. The Aviator, The Departed, The Good Shepherd, The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie - they're all high quality motion pictures, and a world away from the days of Thomas And The Magic Railroad. Even though things are going wrong in his personal life - the brother who keeps having high-speed car crashes, the song I Fucked Alec Baldwin In His Ass as performed by Colin Farrell's stalker and the alleged Kim Basinger-manufactured chocolate bar wrappers for his daughter that contain slurs on his character - Alec Baldwin will always have his professional career, and he'll do anything to protect it.

Alec Baldwin recently narrated a political documentary entitled Running With Arnold, about how Arnold Schwarzenegger probably isn't very good at his job as Governor of California. Or at least that's what Alec Baldwin thought - he later learnt that Running With Arnold contained scenes of Nazi rallies and shows Nazi party paperwork from his father. And now Alec Baldwin is so angry at Running With Arnold that he wants his name and voice removed from the film, as he wrote on The Huffington Post:

I am certainly not a supporter of Arnold Schwarzenegger. I think he was unqualified for his current job when he ran in the bogus recall election. I believe he is unqualified for that job today… Schwarzenegger is not a leader. Like Bush, he is a front man for a group of powerful interests and he is reading from a script. The filmmakers hammer Schwarzenegger over his private behaviour and his record as governor. But Schwarzenegger deserves to be treated fairly and the film's images of Nazi rallies were over the line.

Alec Baldwin has also apparently got his lawyers to send a cease and desist letter to Running With Arnold producer Dan Cox, who clearly isn't having any of it:

"He doesn't have a leg to stand on. We have a contract with him… everyone will know that Alec Baldwin was the narrator of this film."

We can't really see what all this fuss is about, really. Unless Alec Baldwin and Dan Cox are holding back on us and aren't mentioning the parts of Running With Arnold that deal with Arnold Schwarzenegger wanting to destroy the moon to stop menstruating women from "bitching and whining" or Arnold Schwarzenegger burning his children's clothes for kicks or Arnold Schwarzenegger being freakishly obsessed with how much exercise the Pope got, Running With Arnold is still an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie and will therefore suck a lot of balls as a result.
