Digg this!

Paula Abdul, American Idol queen and animated cat seducer, has poked fun at what she has termed "lies" regarding her alleged affair with a former contestant Corey Clark, via a well-timed appearance on the esteemed Saturday Night Live.

Abdul’s cameo came in a sketch that recreated a typical Idol audition.

She introduced proceedings with an in-on-the-act opener: "Now, all the facts have been changed to get laughs at my expense. I hope you enjoy it."

The Idol judge then hammed it up by advising cast member Amy Poehler: "You need to perfect the clap a little more and be a lot more sexier so contestants will be willing to sleep with you."

The NBC show provided Abdul with a major coup against the "character assassination" that has been going on over the last couple of weeks.

The scandal is based around some disputed facts, notably that Corey Clark and Paula Abdul got it owwwhhn ("…dog, back in the day, dawg…" repeat ad infinitum TM Randy ‘Randy’ Jackson"). The day/s in question would have been sometime in 2003.

Saturday Night Live was broadcast just days after the Abdul scandal broke, with gossip paving the way for an ABC exclusive on Primetime Live.

The same episode of Saturday Night Live drew flak from viewers after Sunday morning AM folk rock act System Of A Down yelled "fuuuck, yeah!". Live! On TV! Fuck Yeah!

The incident took place in spite of the fine efforts of the production censorship Gestapo, who had until that point – at the end of the tune – managed to restrict SOAD to a thoroughly ethical, almost church-worthy performance.

The producers dug a hole, jumped in it, and kept digging with their camera instructions. For, as Malakian hollered, the camera zoomed in for a close up. Priceless.

One miserable SNL fan commented: "The shit these bastards fucking come out with! It is a goddamned outrage! To hell with these fuckers… I QUIT!"

The Federal Communications Commission’s crackdown on profane langauge continues apace, but it has yet to comment on the incident.
