Christa Miller Scrubs Bill Lawrence Baby Boy Henry

We're pushing the boat out here, but we'd probably say that Scrubs is our favourite medical sitcom that mixes zany knockabout humour with a crushing wall of relentless bittersweet moral messages.

And the main reason we like Scrubs is Christa Miller, who plays the woman in Scrubs. Not the woman who seems to be contractually obliged to show her bra off in every episode, that's Sarah Chalke. And not the nurse who's going out with the bald surgeon, that's Judy Reyes. And not the fat receptionist, that's Aloma Wright. The other one. Christa Miller, who plays the wife of the sarcastic doctor in Scrubs. Yeah, her. Anyway - Christa Miller has only gone and had a baby boy, hasn't she?

One of the best things about having a Freeview box is that you're never going to be more than a few minutes away from an episode of Scrubs. Any time - day or night - you can switch on your TV, flick through the channels and if you haven't heard a voiceover starting with the line "You know, sometimes working in a hospital is a lot like life…" within 12 minutes, you're legally entitled to some kind of prize. At least, that's what the dirty man selling Freeview boxes out of the boot of his car at a motorway service station told us. Then again, he did also tell us that the second-hand blender he sold us a week prior to that would turn human fecal matter into a delicious smoothie and that quite clearly was a lie, as our ex-girlfriend and violently estranged family will testify.

But anyway. Part of the reason… scrap that - the entirety of the reason that Scrubs is so infuriatingly determined to teach you a brand new soggy life lesson each episode is down to Bill Lawrence, the creator of Scrubs. If that wasn't enough, Bill Lawrence is also to blame for Christa Miller popping a baby out of her body on Sunday. Because, as well as playing Jordan Sullivan on Scrubs, Christa Miller is also married to Bill Lawrence.

Previously we imagined that any evenings Bill Lawrence and Christa Miller spent together mainly revolved around finding a brand new way that working in a hospital can be a lot like life or how sharing things with your friends is what's really important in life, but that probably-fictional scenario will have to end right now, because Bill Lawrence and Christa Miller now have a third baby to look after. MSNBC reports:

Henry Van Duzer Lawrence weighed in at 6 pounds, 9 ounces, said the couple’s publicist, Karynne Tencer. The couple, married since 1999, has two other children: Charlotte, 6, and William, 3.

Which reminds us - giving a third baby a ridiculous name because your list of 'names that won't get your child beaten up at school' only had the words 'Charlotte' and 'William' on it is a lot like life…
