It’s fair to say that 50 Cent hasn’t had the best of times when it comes to proving how popular he is.

In fact, looking at Fiddy's career, it seems that people have always had a grudge against him in some shape or form. Like whoever shot 50 Cent multiple times. But you wouldn’t know about that! 50 Cent is deeply shy and doesn't like talking about getting shot. Anyway, 50 Cent now appears to have become the musical equivalent of George W Bush for his ability to start pointless wars. The crazy tyke has only gone and started one with unsuccessful solo artist Lance Bass from 'N Sync!

Please note that we mean 50 Cent and not George W Bush. George has always been a fan of Lance's output.

Only a few months ago, 50 Cent did battle with one of the most popular stars of hip-hop at the moment, Kanye West. This is guy is so powerful that he can order a curry in from Wales, decide he doesn’t want the thing anymore and finally dress up like Jesus for kicks. Just because he can. Back then 50 Cent and Kanye both released their records on the same day and Kanye West sold more copies and 50 Cent didn't quit music even though he said he would. So the last thing that 50 Cent would want to do is embark on another perilously similar exercise, right?

Well, it appears that 50 Cent is venturing into the murky world of children’s numerical educational books with his first – and hopefully last title – called 50×50. Sadly we didn’t receive an advance copy to review, but we can imagine it’ll have such fun activities such as. “Count the bullets in my chest”, “How many bodies have been hit in the drive by” and the age old classic “Count the empty bottles of overpriced Champagne on the floor of my crib”. We’re sure it’s fun for all ages. However, the book comes out on the same day as Lance Bass from 'N Sync publishes his memoirs, entitled Out Of Sync. Somewhat unsurprisingly, 50 Cent is already talking himself into a fight over it, telling the New York Daily News: 

"He doesn't stand a chance. With me, everything's a competition, so I bet you the end of next week; I'll be moving more copies than him. This is the same competition – this is Kanye West and 50 Cent all over again!" 

Bass terrifyingly responded by saying:  

"50's going down, that's all I have to say."

Based on the results of 50 Cent’s previous competitions, we really doubt Lance Bass will be consoling himself with some ASDA Smart Price vodka when the tallies are totalled. Bass’ book seems like it will be more of an interesting read. Out Of Sync will probably be full of crazy stories the former boy band got up to in the studio and on tour. From tales of Justin Timberlake leaving flaming bags of shit on people’s doors to Joey Fatone accidentally pulling a lady boy, it has the makings of a Sunday Times best seller. 

All that remains now is to see what 50 Cent will pick an argument with next. We hope to capture him and encase him in a giant mirrored room. Next we’ll play recordings that will hopefully insult the rap star. Chants of “you’re a big girl” should do it. Hopefully the cogs in his head won’t turn fully and he’ll try and beat himself up.
